Release Notes - 2024-12-17

Balancing changes to alleviate Oil shortages, new tutorial map test and important bug fixes.

We’ve been closely monitoring the impact of the recent Resources Reforged update. From the feedback you all provided it has become clear that there is a shortage of Oil in the early stages of the game. This is why we’ve shifted costs on some units and buildings over to consume the more abundantly available Metal instead. This evens out resource consumption across all stages of the game, leading to a smoother gameplay experience.

Also we are testing improvements to our tutorial maps. Some of our Clash of Nations tutorial maps for new players will now start at war with a neighbouring NPC country, have a rebalanced starting unit setup and a few quality of life improvements. Check out the detailed Release Notes below if you wish to know more about this. Please note that this change is still in testing, and as such only available to a selected number of new players.

Further we fixed an immersion breaking bug on the 1939 - Blitzkrieg and Road to war scenario maps. The flags for many of the countries were mixed up. Now the correct flags are displayed next to the country nametags. Patrolling air units no longer apply the wrong province morale damage, instead applying the correct 50% damage per damage tick. And finally, we fixed an annoying bug on the World at War map, where a province in Mexico paid out ten times the intended Manpower per hour.

For a closer look at all the changes please check out the detailed Release Notes and share your feedback with us right here on the Forums and on our Discord Server.

Me too. I renounce support for the while.

A revolt!

I will only vote for @Claudio NVKP unless he personally and publicly denounces the Romanian nation!

Claudio won't denounce his own country (and VLW is his running mate)

Welp, guess he’s not getting my vote!

I don't know whether to be happy you oppose Claudio, or angry that you're being racist

I wouldn't vote for a Croat, but I would also never want to have a Romanian be the forum president.

Racist? How do you refer to those creatures as a separate race?

What are you talking about? Claudio isn't Romanian

Before MaFGA, his location was Ploiesti, and he made a post about it

Romanians are Latin, just like you (except for the Brasov area, as that is populated with Hungarians)

Why wouldn't they

supposedly they are unable to do a simple thing like rename the maps because its buried somewhere in the code.

ive never designed a game, but this one seems like an absolute mess

I shall NÓT denounce the Romanian nation!

On the contrary I shall list the benefits and qualities:

1. It is a beautiful country which has everything from beach resorts to high mountains, forrests, plains and what not and - except a number very polluted areas - most of it untainted. Wildlife is abundant. I even had to sit in my car, waiting for 2 hours for a bear mother and her 2 cubs to finish with scavenging the garbage on the parkinglot in Kronstadt/Brasov. Try that in London! London only has foxes in the city. Berlin-Kreuzberg may have wolves though; the Grey type... Still that doesn't beat having bears!

2. Who does not appreciate the Oldest Nobleman around? Count Dracula is from Transylvania though, which is in Romania.

3. When it was impossible to hire more engineers for the company in all of Western Europe, we managed to engage several from Romania. Not only do they provide excellent engineering work, they also 'understood' very well how to 'acquire' more projects from Romanian and other East-European countries, building the relationships with 'appropriate gifts' for our 'New Best Friends' in important positions (NO! Don't call it 'bribery'. It is normal to give 'gifts' to 'friends'...also important new ones)

4. During visits to expos, conferences, lectures and the nightlife, I have established the country has an almost unlimited stock of gorgious women.

5. The country further seems to have an unlimited stock of historical places to visit.

I shall admit there used to be a problem with a part of the population, commonly referred to as 'gispy' or 'Roma' (which btw seem to originate from Northern India; not Romania), but that was solved. They are all in Paris now, acting as Syrian refugees.

It also questionable why the Highway from Bucharest to Kronstadt is still not finished and has become the most expensive Highway in Europe in cost per kilometer. It may be that the builders did not hire the right engineers to make the right 'New Best Friends' in important positions.

Another thing is that I have established an unnatural high number of blue haired females. This may be linked to a stronghold of the Lizardmen Invaders according to the renowned specialist on this subject, Mr. David Icke.

Ah, lest I forget, there is ofc a problem with taffudging civil servants in all layers of society. This may, however, explain why Taffytta Muttonfudge does not even realize she taffudges elections. Possibly she simply doesn't know any better?

Brasov/Kronstadt was Austrian-Hungarian. Not 'just' Hungarian. It has a fantastic monumental city centre, clearly influenced by the influx of Germanic peoples over the centuries into these regions.

Wilhelm would be fooled into thinking he is in a Austrian or German old city.

Also for Wilhelm: many of the populace in the region have blue eyes ...

I think Wilhelm was pickpocketed or otherwise had an incident with a travelling people, originating from Northern Indian decent, commonly called Roma and now residing for a large part in Romania.

This tribal name has no link to the country name, since Romania derives its name from being the last Roman Province holding out for a long time in the East. It was called Dacia in those days. Dacians were Daco-Romans and the Dacians held on to the Latin language longer and better than the Italians.

Romania is thus the only Eastern European country with a Western European language.

The historian Ioan-Aurel Pop concludes that historical chronicles "assert the Roman origin of Romanians as the Romans' descendants" who stayed in the former Roman provinces.

Also for Wilhelm: had Germany had a better leader in 30's and 40's, Romania would not have been conquered by the Soviets and would thus not have had Ceaucescu (and his wife) ruin the country for 5 decades.

If there should be any issue with Romania how it is today, it thus is the fault of the Germans, failing to beat the Soviets at the game they were supposed to best at: war!

Egg,

Wilhelm is German or Austrian. Germans/Austrians are a Germanic tribe speaking a Germanic language, called Hochdeutsch.

Germanic peoples are not Latin.

Latin peoples speak a language decending from Latin, like Romanian, Portuguese, Spanish and to a lesser extent Italian.

No, you talk whenever to whomever on a public forum. Need we remind you of your unsollicited denials, for example?

Adding to that, I, as a Germanic person from Lower Saxony, stand to correct you for your blatant ignorance, saying Saxons are Latin!

All these comments about Romanians are really bothering me. Why is there so much stigma revolving Romanians?

That gypsy movie that was released recently was directed by a man named Eggers...

Coincidence?

Roma (Gypsies) originated in the Punjab region of northern India as a nomadic people and entered Europe between the eighth and tenth centuries C.E. They were called "Gypsies" because Europeans mistakenly believed they came from Egypt. This minority is made up of distinct groups called "tribes" or "nations."

Gypsies and Romanians are completely different

You mean Nosferatu?

I just watched Nosferatu a couple weeks ago. It's a good thriller.
