General

  • Adjusted combat and patrol intervals on all maps. All maps now use the default 30m melee combat and 15m patrol tick intervals. This base value is scaled depending on the speed-factor of the map. This prevents confusing situations where it’s unclear how long battles take.

  • Added a new filter to the Newspaper on mobile devices. Similar to desktop, you can now only show statistics articles to quickly access information about the world’s mightiest nations.

  • 🤝Created a new compact view for army command buttons. Once enabled from the settings menu, only available commands are shown for the selected unit - decreasing the amount of clicks needed to get to vital functions like patrol or additional waypoints.

  • Re-designed the settings menu on mobile. It now matches the new UI style, and also includes a toggle for the new compact army commands setting.

  • Improved the information shown in the games list. Now the games list directly shows the speed factor of the game, and also which Operations are being completed by the game.

  • We also improved the visibility of the text by changing the text colour and making the spacing of the text more consistent.

  • Added a tooltip for Area of Effect abilities on mobile devices. This enhances the strategic overview of the battlefield for mobile players, having all information related to these powerful abilities at their fingertips.

  • Re-worded the homeland damage reduction entry in the army details info window. The new phrasing makes the effects of the bonus more easily understandable.

  • Delivered multiple updates aimed at improving the overall performance of the game client:

  • Better performance for dropdown menus when trading with other players

  • Better performance for the particle system (that is, the shells artillery shoots or water splashes caused by naval bombardments)

  • Better performance when loading images in the game

  • Better performance for how animations are loaded

  • Better performance when rendering borders on large maps.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a critical bug that allowed armies to disengage from melee combat. The bug occurred when both players issued stop commands.

  • Fixed a bug that let armies attack an AOE effect rather than an underlying province center. This also prevented the army from capturing the province center, effectively delaying or preventing the capture.

  • Added missing flags to the tooltip that appears when hovering a province center. Previously, if the province was owned by an AI nation, the flag wouldn’t show.

  • Fixed a duplicate province name on the World at War map. The province previously called “Lisbonne” in Ecuador is now called “Puyo”

  • Fixed a bug that showed the wrong number of caught spies in Espionage reports when their home country was unknown. Reports now show the correct number of spies caught from each country, with a separate count for spies whose home country is unknown.

  • Fixed a bug that caused province centers to get captured immediately (despite the presence of defenders) if a change in diplomatic status occured. Now, the defending army has to be defeated first before the province center can be captured.
