Generals,
our intelligence was able to infiltrate the enemy forces and retrieved a small amount of blueprints! Unfortunately not all our spies made it back to the Headquarter and we are left in the dark with yet another puzzle…
What we were able to figure out so far: the enemy is deep in the development of a new type of units. So far so so good, but we can’t figure out what exactly this kind of unit might be, as crucial parts of the blueprints are missing. What we could see from the ones we were able to retrieve, these new units must be huge, not to say of an enormous size.
As we urgently need to solve this mystery in order to stay competitive, we need your help, generals. Help us to figure out what these units might be, so we can catch up.
Be on the alert, generals.

They would have to balance that with SEALs, Sappers, Engineers, etc.Rathbone5253 wrote:
Fixed AA guns for provinces and some type of coastal fortress for provinces they have no defense for ships....Love the Game thanks
I know everyone wants carriers and it would be cool, but lets face it guys, really the only famous one from the Atlantic was the HMS Ark Royal. Carriers played as much a role in the Atlantic as Hitler's V3 cannon did on England, or nukes did in the European campaign. For that reason I believe they will give us the carriers. When really a game changer would be more a train a suggested or troop air transports. I am still really hung up on an earlier idea I had for suggested upgrades, which would be mines, mine sweepers, and land mines. Really small items that will change the way the game is played. In case you did not know about the Vergeltungswaffe wepon III. It was a cannon capable of firing shells all the way to London England
True, most of the well know carriers were from the pacific theater, but they were still present in the war arsenal; they had little use in the Atlantic because of the why war was waged. Carriers were handy for air support for the island hopping. You couldn't take off a fully loaded B17 from a carrier, just light bombers and fighters.
yea see that is why I think that its not carriers
cos it was a pic of Ike, and Churchill
wasnt much Carriers over there
but Id say im overthinking it
it prob carriers, as they are big...
and will really only change tactics in the world map
not much need in the other maps as they all smaller
I really am excited for them do
think it will make sea borne invasions great
cant wait..

Aircraft carriers would add a new strategic dimension. Adding logistics, like rail lines or supply or landing craft, would be a tactical thing and hard to make as a balanced addition. You can fortify a city, so engineers that could lessen their effectiveness by a level is adding some balance to an existing mechanism. Adding aircraft carriers would make ports more important as bombing targets.
Personally, I think carriers would be fun, but the reason only the Ark Royal was famous wasn't because it was the only one, it was because Britain is an island and some European countries lack a coast. The game plays a bit loose with the countries to balance the game and only small countries are land-locked. Still, aircraft carriers wouldn't be much of anything but a target in places like the Baltic and Black seas.
Not quite Squigs! There is a pretty big difference between a massive hydra bomber and a helicarrierSir McSquiggles wrote:
Isnt that what Mr Johan said? XD

Hmm what is the helicarrier then....CrimsonKing116 wrote:

Definitely Aircraft Carriers.
It's definitely aircraft carrier. Look at the achievement "Visionary".
*waves hand* That is not the tech you are looking for...Kehsct wrote:

That achievement was there for the first release of Carriers
In the Atlantic Escort carriers (not famous but numerous) were the game changer, allowing aircraft to now interdict submarines or Axis Naval aircraft in the previous dead zones of the mid Atlantic.
Of course we don't have logistics in this game so their presence to combat strategic submarine warfare isn't necessary.
First Aircraft carriers changed warfare FOREVER! The Aircraft carriers were here but had bugs. So doe's Caeser the dog whisperer! Ouch, too soon?
Moving on.
The main and most hindering factor of the whole game is Speed! Airborne troops can be on the ground in enemy provinces in minutes.
Why do we wait for hours to occupy important objectives?!
Aircraft Carriers are essential to the Pacific, without them, why even play as Japan? Even Axis and Allies the board game has Aircraft carriers!
People pay ridiculous amounts of money for gold. The financial means are there. Get to WORK! I can set up my board game, have snacks and drinks ready for my fellow gamers before a armored car can capture a hard fought, time consuming, and expensive objective. I am patient, and pay for high command to utilize the queue. And yes, I am a veteran of the Us Army, 16R, 16S, airborne combat veteran. Give me a perfectly good airplane, and I'll jump out of it knowing I'm going to be surrounded, but victorious!
The American Gato Class and up should have a bonus of some kind. These boats all had air conditioning, refrigerated storage for food, fresh water distilling units, clothes washers, and bunks for nearly every crew member; luxuries virtually unheard of in other navies. The Bureau designers felt that if a crew of 60–80 men were to be expected to conduct 75-day patrols in the warm waters of the Pacific, these types of features were vital to the health and efficiency of the crew. They could be added without impact to the boat's war fighting abilities due to the extra room of the big fleet boat. However, one feature in particular had a very practical side to it. Submerge a submarine for any length of time and the heat generated by the recently shut down engines, electronic gear, and 70 warm bodies will quickly raise internal temperatures above 100 Fahrenheit. High humidity generated by tropical waters will quickly condense and begin dripping into equipment, eventually causing electrical shorts and fires. Air conditioning, acting mostly as a dehumidifier, virtually eliminates this problem and greatly increases mechanical and electrical reliability. It proved to be a key factor in the success of these boats during World War II

This is a game of patience and strategy, not some flashy game that can be over in a frenzy.
