Secure your crate!

Dear Generals,

this week we have two big changes for you.

The headquarter proudly presents supply crates as a new source of secret blueprints and resources. These crates appear randomly in an enemy or neutral AI province (never in your ally’s country). You have to conquer the province in a certain amount of time to secure the crate. It can contain either resources or blueprints. These blueprints are a meta-feature relevant for all your active and future games. Collecting a certain amount of blueprints of the same type unlocks a new unit tech level which will be available to research in every game. The crates only appear in 22 players, 100 players and pacific maps. When you create a new game you can enable or disable the crate feature. For more information on crates please have a look at the manual.

The second change is about Victory Points. Before, these points were scaled according to the map size. That means, a province on a small map could have more VPs than a province on a bigger map. Now we abandoned the scaling process to have a fairer and more accurate distribution of VPs.

We hope you like the changes. Tell us your feedback in the forum.

Have fun playing!

i was just wondering will you make any new maps soon i have just joined Call of War and i love it. Also just today when i go onto my games it says the server cant load the game what is that? is your server down or is that my computers fault

Bug fixes>new features. I approve of this blueprint idea though! I have also noticed that sea zones now snap-to. Good work. The coloration looks better as well in my opinion. Hopefully, this new VP allocation means 100 player maps won't require such a massive empire before VP limit is reached.

Loving all the new changes.. my game also won't at the moment too. Hope it is soon working, I can't wait to find these crates :p

On another thread where the title was about games not loading, we were informed that some servers will be down for a short while for service.

Ahhh ok thanks...

I'm getting the same error "Action cannot be processed by server" Has it been taken down to fix updates done last night ?

By the way, I'm not color blind, but the new dark/light shade "enhancements" to the maps has made it harder to see and distinguish from other countries of like color.

How common are these supply crates? Are they in AI only nations?

WW III, this thread is about crates. If you want the powers that be (and other players who might agree) to notice your observation on lack of clarity on maps, you need to start a new thread. That's how it works.

Does this mean new units or what?
The past is a foreign country.

If you guys are getting the error message saying not able to process, please keep the screen open and the game should eventually open. The problem will soon be rectified by the devs

You'll have to find out!

Sadly, an error occured with the new suply crates. We have currently disabled the feature while our developers investigate the problem. Thanks for your understanding!

Well, I had over 2k VP and now about 750, so I think the opposite is true.

I like that the core vs non-core are now properly highlighted on the map. I don't like the crate idea. I don't want a random treasure hunt.

will the blueprints work in all games even after the game you earn it in finishes?

because if the units are to OP, it might be a bit unfair to players who haven't found as many crates.

also, will you be able to buy crates on the store? It might be a good way to make some extra money (however, balancing players who spend money on crates and those who don't will be difficult.)

and remember, all of this is assuming that any crates earned carry over into all games once you earn it.

The Blueprints will work in all future games once unlocked.

Im not going to lie, at first I thought hoped it was paratroopers haha

Another update from the team :) good work guys :)

That wasn't the point. The new -- more vibrant -- occupied territory stripes are to help you distinguish your core provinces from non-core provinces. That will aid in your choosing which provinces to focus on upgrading. Later on, when you have a wide empire, you should still be continuing to favor upgrading core provinces because of the cumulative yields are superior.

If you are having trouble distinguishing your territory from that of your neighbors, attack your neighbors and take them over. Then there will be no need for the distinction. If you are tan, then attack your tan neighbors first. Then all tan provinces on your side of the map are yours (or theirs, if they kick your derriere). :D

The Call of War development team appears to release a new map about once every 4 - 6 months. That's pretty reasonable since the graphics need to be manually configured and the research into the background information for each region in a map probably takes a long time.

Wrong. This thread is for all of the changes in the current release/update as well as any problems that occur due to those changes (including servers being down while they upload the changes).

Clearly, they would downgrade the larger maps to match the smaller maps in actual values. To do the other way around would make the smaller maps vastly more lucrative for the better players.

It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.
