Something's in the air tonight

Generals,

our research teams have been making quite some progress: the second new weapon system has also been uncovered. The Self-propelled Anti Air might turn out to be a crucial point in your strategic outline! These units offer:

  • They belong to the “hard” armor class.
  • They move with high speed.
  • In order to keep a good balance, they have decreased defense and attack values.

The Headquarter has also been working on improvements, the following issues have been cleared:

  • The forum stability has been increased to assure uninterrupted availability.
  • Every Anti Air ground unit in patrol range of an Aircraft will now cause full damage instead of the previous down scaled damage.

After thorough considerations and evaluation of your feedback, we have been tipping the scale of balance once more. Some units, like the Cruiser, have been undergoing a slight redefinition to raise their attractiveness. The Submarine on the other was perceived as too strong by the community, which made us review this unit as well. The following adjustments have been done to improve your gaming experience:

  • The oil costs for Tactical Bombers have been increased.
  • For Naval Bombers, the oil costs have been lowered.
  • The oil costs for most naval units have been increased.
  • Submarine damage has been lowered a bit.
  • The Anti Air capabilities of Cruisers have been heavily increased.
  • The Anti Air capabilities of Battleships have been lowered.
  • Convoyed units now have a bit of Submarine defense
  • The Submarine defense of Battleships has been slightly increased.
  • The damage of Strategic Bombers against ground units & buildings has been slightly increased.
  • The range of Strategic Bombers has been increased by 10%.
  • Naval bombers now have a bigger radius which they can uncover.
  • Decreased Anti Air values of Infantry,Militia, Mot. Infantry and Mech. Infantry.
  • The manpower costs of Ships have been lowered.
  • The manpower costs of Planes have been raised.
  • Self-propelled Artillery has now an increased range.

A comprehensive list will be posted in the forums.

i hope this is sarcasm ... 10% more power vs. 1 type of target and equal on the rest is nothing

It's more powerful than SPA, but not as fast.

Slowly but surely you guys are putting together a fine game, with the exceptions of the Nuke units in a game WW2 based from 1932-1942

It is because of men like Stalin,&Hitler , that there is a place called Hell.

Errr, how can you compare SPA to SPAA? Isn't one used against land units and the other against air units?

The past is a foreign country.

Well said Dave. Although I think it maybe goes into the early 60s too?

Yes, the newest unit is the Leopard 1(German lvl 6 MT) which came out in 1965.

Even later still then. This could morph into the cold war game everyone wants.

I much prefer it remain purely WW2. Nukes were pacific theater, not Europe, so it already has a over ripe feel to the game. Perhaps a map without all the higher end units that spoil that WW2 feel for us more hardcore WW2 players.

The cold war game is a different game not an add on to this and seeing as this goes into the 50s/60s nuclear weapons can be realistic if stationed in Europe.

Well the game advertises 1932-1942 and during those periods nukes were in developing stages not on the battlefield ...which is a good thing cuz Hitler would have used them for sure and you all would be speaking my language lol

The game advertised the original map, the upgrade tree shows the devs want an early cold war setting late into a game.

Yes, I believe that is exactly what the dev were going for. And I agree with/like it!

Then maybe they will change the game name later to Call Of War: 1960 Cold War.....instead of 1932-1942 which is WW2 area. :D
