Valuable research uncovered

Generals,

our intelligence forces have been tirelessly investigating around the

clock and they discovered something incredible: scientists are secretly

researching the further development of new weapon systems!

Up to this moment, no specified data has been confirmed yet but this

research seems to be quite valuable. According to rumours there have

been first tests which delivered nothing but the best results.

Our spies are working as fast as to possible to retrieve specific

details. We hope this will enable us to use this new technology for our

own purposes.

The HQ has also taken care of the following issues:

  • The sabotage spy does now do the correct damage
  • Airplanes don’t jump anymore when orders are repeated
  • Improved stability and server performance
  • The rocket interceptor has been renamed to rocket fighter
  • The editing of newspaper articles does not produce an error message anymore

A note to all Portuguese generals: the Portuguese version will be

launched today. Switch the language by clicking the according flag in

the upper right corner.

The Call of War HQ.

do you think they may make the rocket interseptor more powerfull against tanks and inf.like a multirole aircraft ?
That is just plain silly. It is to shoot down other planes, it is not a fighter bomber.

I know but they said the rocket interseptor was renamed as rocket fighter, maybe it will become more able to shoot ennemy's on land too, an interseptor is only for land, I don't know but they caan even change the plane because now the rocket fighter isn't very usfull in my opinion because you only have it after day 20 andat day 24 you have the lvl 6 of fighter more used than him because it's an upgrade of your existing planes

It's still a fighter. For ground attack, they make special variants of fighters. Rocket planes did not get these variants. The rocket fighter can be used too, you just need to learn how.

Nein! Lazers!

During the early 1940s Axis engineers developed a sonic cannon that could cause fatal vibrations in its target body. A methane gas combustion chamber leading to two parabolic dishes pulse-detonated at roughly 44 Hz. This infrasound, magnified by the dish reflectors, caused vertigo and nausea at 200–400 metres (220–440 yd) by vibrating the middle ear bones and shaking the cochlear fluid within the inner ear. At distances of 50–200 metres (160–660 ft), the sound waves could act on organ tissues and fluids by repeatedly compressing and releasing compressive resistant organs such as the kidneys, spleen, and liver. (It had little detectable effect on malleable organs such as the heart, stomachand intestines.) Lung tissue was affected at only the closest ranges as atmospheric air is highly compressible and only the blood rich alveoli resist compression. In practice, theweapon system was highly vulnerable to enemy fire. Rifle, bazooka and mortar rounds easily deformed the parabolic reflectors, rendering the wave amplification ineffective.[39]

In the later phases of World War II, Nazi Germany increasingly put its hopes on research into technologically revolutionary secret weapons, the Wunderwaffen.

Among the directed-energy weapons the Nazis investigated were X-ray beam weapons developed under Heinz Schmellenmeier, Richard Gans and Fritz Houtermans. They built an electron accelerator called Rheotron (invented by Max Steenbeck at Siemens-Schuckert in the 1930s, these were later called Betatrons by the Americans) to generate hard X-ray synchrotron beams for the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM). The intent was to pre-ionize ignition in aircraft engines and hence serve as anti-aircraft DEW and bring planes down into the reach of the FLAK. The Rheotron was captured by the Americans in Burggrub on April 14, 1945.

Another approach was Ernst Schiebolds 'Rântgenkanone' developed from 1943 in Großostheim near Aschaffenburg. The Company Richert Seifert & Co from Hamburg delivered parts.[40]

Microwave weapons were investigated together with the Japanese.

BTW, is everybody sure this new update is going to be CV's? Maybe they're some kind of super weapon, e.g. bio warfare?
I hope not. The setting is 1942, right?
Spain took over South America with smallpox in 1520 I believe, so there was chemical warfare :)
Behind Every Beautiful Smile There is Something So Much Deeper
Do I need to say more?

Technically thats biological warfare, not chemical.

In WW2 neither type was used on a significant scale, so it shouldnt be in this game, imho.

What if I'm indoctrinated and actually fighting the good guys?
