Dude, a chopper is a type of motorbike.
Battle of The Robots
Somebody mentioned robots in another thread- which gave me the overwhelming urge to make this thread: Battle of The Robots! Here is a place where we can debate over which of the following robot types (TYPES, not individual robots) is the best/most powerful:
-Dalek
-Cyberman
-Cylon
-Terminator
-Replicator (Stargate)
-Transformer
-Battle Droids
-Borg
-Gort (Forgot to add it to the poll.)
-'80s Robot
-KITT
-HAL
-ASIMO
-GLaDOS
-Roomba (afterthought)
R2D2
C3PO
Necrons
Geths
Ultron
Vision
If you think of another type of robot, please mention it so I can add it to the list and feel bad about not being able to add it to the poll.
(They REALLY should make it so you can add things to a poll.)

I know. For old men that wear old style German military helmets, join biker gangs and have long beards down to their knees. Those bikes have so many jokes around them and the people who ride them.
Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!
Whatever, arguing against has a lot in common with hitting your head against a wall. Anyhow, Terminator is still the best.
Nah man, doesn't he die in one?

Yes, in number two, but he reappears one way or the other.
Pft, if it dies leave it dead. I think Vind said his choice can't die.

I played wh40k, about 10 years ago.V1nd1cat0r wrote:

if you know much about them they can pretty much beat all of them at the same time.
I still have a small Necron army.
Small by Necron standards, that is.
They will be assimilated by the Borg.
Borgs are not robots but cyborgs, half organic machines. (I read a little)
But since individualy purge of free will their valid.
Also blackprince2 you have a Necron army, I think you mentioned you have other armies?
-imperium thought of the day
I dont see Geths here
Oh my, the Geths! I don't think they would too effective, just knock out the capital ship which holds the server droid or whatever. I know it is a lot harder in practice because of their massive fleet but no one in Mass Effect thought to use an invisibility cloak on a ship and fill it with nukes for a suicide run, did they? I mean, the Normandy had an easy job of getting close so it really shouldn't be that hard.Mortes wrote:

I didnt mention, but yes I do.V1nd1cat0r wrote:

Not for wh/wh40k though.
I have a few 15mm armies (ancients, medieval, pike-and-shot, japanese, napoleonic), one 25mm (flames of war), and two 6mm (spearhead).
Yes getting close is not that hard if you have prototype of ship (there is only one like that in galaxy).Butter Ball Bill wrote:

Alternatively, you could just capture one Geth and upload a bug to it, screwing up the whole system.

Impossible. Geths are software not hardware. Btw you cant just catch a living geth, and upload something without his approval
Hrm, well, you could just use nuclear artillery, you know? But you would have to be accurate because 'somewhere, someday, that shell is going to ruin someones day' if you miss since stuff doesn't stop or slow down in space.

You could use, if only they wont hit you first.
Well, judging from that scene in ME3 with the massive battle between the Geth and their creators, the Geth throw all their ships at the enemy and have no rear guard. So you would need a large distraction to their front at two small, fast ships loaded with nuclear weaponry to flank around behind.

Besides the fact that they are upgraded by reaper tech
Meh. Shephard could storm them easily enough and their creators dealt them some serious damage too.
