Best General of WW2?

So saw who was the best army thread etc and think well for an army to be effective they need a good leader for their units...

So in your opinion and why, who was the best General of WW2 (includes & Feldmarschals)

Personally: Konstantin Rokossovsky

Why: This guy played a major role in nearly all of the Soviet Offences and Defences on the Eastern front from Moskva, Stalingrad, Kursk, Smolensk and Warszaw this guy general had the technical ability to stop and attack the germans.

He had the bravery to tell Stalin what had to be done to get the victory and in all occasions he was correct and Stalin called him a saviour. Apart from that the Polish General was a massive conductor for the Soviet Armies and won countless battles and massively outthinked his German Counterparts

Extremely good, and by far the best Allied general in the West, but a mite too agressive. And he kinda messed up at Sicily.
It's possible.

Relax folks. But Rommel was the best general as a person and as a tactician. However, his one big flaw was stretching his supply lines too long in North Africa. It helped my favourite unit of all times carry out raids, the LRDG.

Hitler made him halt for a day, which became three, at Dunkirk for disobeying orders. You got a weird sense of trust.....

he complete opposite for Sevastopol it was fortified and took Manstein a massive time to take it at which Stalingrad then became a cemetry for the 6th Army a few months later.. Sevastopol was one of the biggest defensive markings in history.

Took a long while for the Germans to take it the SS even came in because the Wehrmacht could not break through

Rommel was the best. He would've won in North Africa with more supplies. Heck, he could've even won D-Day if Hitler had listened to him.
I doubt it, the Americans were in Africa too had Bazooka's as well as Shermans, very good gear.

As for D-day, it was unstoppable as too many men landed. If you land enough men, you will win. Even as it was, the units present defending at D-day were multiple times stronger than standard German infantry units, they had an awful lot of heavy weaponry.

Quasi, at D-Day, it was just pure luck we won. The bombers were off target. The rockets on the LSTs barely did anything. Many DD Shermans sunk. The strength of the German garrison at Omaha was more than Allied intelligence showed. It was pure luck the war games were going on and Rommel was away. We're also lucky that Hitler decided to not allow Rommel to dig in most of the tanks. Plus, they couldn't have landed more men. The beaches were crowded enough as they were. Heck, landing was even suspended for a short period of time. If Rommel was there, he could've been able to push us right back into the sea.
Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.
-Winston Churchill
Attack rapidly, ruthlessly, viciously, without rest, however tired and hungry you may be, the enemy will be more tired, more hungry. Keep punching.

Quite true. If thee Desert Fox had been given rein by Hitler to organize a flexible defense, they could have caused many casualtieson the beaches, counterattacked, destroy any Allied push into the mainland, reorganize, and deal with the paratroopers inland.
