Call of Lore
Basically the idea that you can take a look at any call of war map, and see what the lore behind the game start is. In this case we will look at the 100 player team up map.
The idea is that it seems a massive economic crisis took place in the late 1920’s, which let to a rise in extremism and eventual collapse of the global order. The ensuing chaos miraculously led to to a world with similarly balanced nations, all with equal power, as empires collapsed, some nations merged, and map changed.
When the horrid dust finally cleared, you’d see an Earth with roughly equal population and military throughout, larger than real life. Perhaps on this world overpopulation became rampant, eventually leading to this mass collapse, but now nations somehow have a decent food supply secure, though the era of chaos effected the population so much that nations populations are now equal to each other.
After al of this two opposing ideologies rose to power across the world, it is unknown what they are and why they are at war but it is known that one side uses primarily blue to represent themselves, and the other red. This somehow resulted in a major confrontation, with one global Alliance and another rising to challenge each other in an ultimate battle for the worlds destiny. The small nations that managed to survive the era of chaos will soon be absorbed, and a fork in human history is taking place. Who will win?
If you want to add to this just type below. Me and a friend named Kaiser came up with this and decided to write here lol. This is just a base to add upon.

Now let's think for a moment here, we have to think of the nations that are in this game.
Russia, China, India, Australia, America as a whole, all collapsed into smaller nations.
Well we never get the reason why, but that's also why this thread exists, it is to answer questions that don't exist in the first place.
But I got a small speculation.
China collapsed obviously to the constant revolutions of the people, their policies and oppression caused several unofficial new political parties to show up. These parties are obviously made by the citizens (Chinese) to oppose against the fact that CCP (China Communist Party) is the only existing party of China. But but, this sets in 1930s to 1940s, by Carking calculation, every day in our time is 2 years in game time. So let's think more historically, first we believed there is a global economic crisis that affected every nations politically, economically, and culturally. In the time 1937, is where the Second Sino-Japanese war starts. Well we don't really know how the Japanese is in this time, but I say the Japanese Empire still exists but due to the economic crisis that I will refer to as The Earth Ashening cause it sounds cool. Anyway the Japanese Empire getting hit by this crisis will ends very badly, their military equipment downgrades in quantities and quality, the navy still exists in good conditions as the Empire is now desperately need money, thus they quickly prepare to invade China. China isn't doing so well due to the Chinese Civil War between NRA and CCP, but they decided to band together when the Japanese invade them, Im guessing this war will be more destaving due to the effect of the Ashening, the Invasion of Manchuria will be more brutal, as it is one of the important supply market of China, the Japanese definitely will do anything to reach the Manchuria and extremises their Three Alls Policy (Kill All, Burn All and Loot All). After 3-4months Japanese will make the puppet state Manchuko, China being far too weak to fight Japan will ask the crumbled League Of Nations, the organisation that is now focusing on repairing the world economy for help. This leads to the publication of the Lytton Report, and Japan leaves the League. Japanese army will push further in until they reach Nanjing, where the infamous Nanjing Massacre happens.
(To be continue I need to sleep)
also would be nice if I know what ideologies are these two organizations, would be easier to make their flag. And I'm guessing the picture of the Team Up game in menu is the canon one.
How is Japan starting wars when they are equal to only one Chinese state and wouldn’t really be able to?

Well the Japanese is historically desperate in WW2, they still fight when all of their men and weapons are fully shitted. So Im guessing they still are the same here, so let's say they got a bit "quirky" and invade china for the sake of getting resourcesCarking the 6th wrote:

But the idea is we are talking about like the lore before the actual game… plus Japan is red team. So I don’t see where them invading China and getting even close to winning comes from.KaiserOfAnonymous wrote:

This thread is amazing.
The Team Up! map reminded me suspiciously of The Draka Trilogy, but not so grimdark (I hope).Carking the 6th wrote:

What are the ideologies, and why do some nations choose either? If the thumbnail is canon, not all the British Empire is the same, I think? Florida's doing something wierd in the USA which is not actually surprising. It seems not to depend greatly on doctrine either.

I've thought of similar lore for the standard 100p World at War map for a while now.
Basically, it starts kind of like H.G. Well's book The Shape of Things to Come (not the film which is more Mad Max-esque), but with WWI instead of WWII being extended.
After a two decade-long Great War (map starts 1934) the world balkanises finally ends in an Armistice and universal ceasefire.
By this time, the war has resulted not only in the Russian Revolution (in this timeline, the Russian Empire survives, at least in the 22p), the Chinese Warlord Era, and the collapse of the Central Powers into Yugoslavia, Germany, etc., but also in the collapse of the British Empire, and a Second US Civil War, as well as other worldwide fighting. Eventually the Japanese occupy of Manchuria as in OTL and set up puppets.
In the fighting, virtually all states are converted into total war economies. Most European countries, being small, retain their ruling bodies and continue as functioning (albeit impoverished) states. Overseas, former governors such as Sir Leslie Orne Wilson in Queensland claim full control, nominally in the name of British, French, or Japanese rule, but de facto as independent nation-states.
Ignoring butterfly effect on technology, this would explain a bit. I've considered certainly the Americas map to be related to this work.

The timeline decided to be a bit quirky
Yeah this world is very edgy when you think about it. What throws me off is the strange population, economy, and military similarity at the start. I mean really weird stuff needed to happen to cause that…

Maybe the aliens came, and they were really sportmanshiplike, and they made all kind of vile machinasations to make all those states equal in strength, and now they're having popcorn in orbit watching the show unfold?

Could also be the gods or the great coalition of Luxembourg, Tanna Tuva, Albania, Eswatini, Bhutan, Belize, ETC… who did the same thing, and then ascended to the next plane of existence.

IIRC Belize is part of the British Empire like the Dominion of Newfoundland.Carking the 6th wrote:

or someone accidentally hit the reset button for all nations, bringing all economies, armies to the same thing and then have them fight together. idk man
