Ebb And Flow Of The Forums Is Different.
I feel like the introduction of Carking into the forums changed the Forums from a legitimate place of assistance and help to a spam liking garbage post fest. This is not meant to offend anyone, but full offence to all of those who participate in this, i used to like this place, and it was moderated quite well, now its so absolutely trash that the mods cant bother to even attempt to try to moderate it anymore. This place also used to be a safe space for anyone of any rank, but now, apparently, rank = how smart and powerful you are, which is utter bullshit. I'm not blaming Bytro for anything, i'm blaming the horrible users who turned this into a straight up land-fill of burning plastic, not only are half the posts just spammed for likes, 9/10 of them aren't even relevant to anything to do to with CoW anymore. "Its not that bad, It can't be!" If you were around back in the younger Forum days, you know very well what i mean. I am leaving the forum, besides to check my wall and write some HELPFUL stuff every so often, i will not interact with shit-posting and like spamming anymore, do not flood my wall with garbage either, please, as i would like to read stuff that matters, in any sense of being. Do not take this post out of context and say that i hate the new gen of Forum (Carking joining+), trust me i do, they suck, and think everything is based around rank and how many likes you have (Some aren't like this, lots of love to those people 
), which is WHY i dislike them. But this isn't about me entirely, its about the Ebb and Flow of the Forum, lets look into some examples. The 4 RP posts with like 200 pages each. shit-posting like-fest. Go back a few years and those conversations were 50 Pages max and contained everything that all 4 of these ones did. A real dedicated RP conversation that didn't turn into shit-posting and garbage conversations. Now, i know y'all are gonna hate me in the comments, and that's fine, doesn't affect me. Lets look at perhaps another example... Now this one is absolutely horrible, mo lord. The election posts. Not only were the previous ones actually fruitful and contain legitimate info that i think is quite fine, and its good content, the new one was literally just an argument about the word French. That's it. Most mind-numbing post I've ever read, some people did good, and that's really good, they're getting somewhere, kudos to them for knowing the difference between garbage and quality content, and not arguing about the word French... French, is there something wrong with the French? Is this some kinda Racist thing? Not sure, but it kinda pisses me off how people censor a word that describes a group of people who are very real and very much alive, and not all are bad. "It's just a joke!" Don't joke about censoring a population of people. That shit is NOT funny, only bad people and racist's find that stuff funny.Now i don't go around saying Ame***ans like they're a filthy disease we shouldn't mention. Now, if you are all still with me and not yelling in chat for me to leave faster or threatening me, lets look at some Play-through posts, ah yes, this, THIS IS QUALITY, South Africa Play-through's, Aussie Play-through's, Mexico Play-through's, All good stuff, good job guys....Until a while after Carking and his gang joined and messed them up, turning them into 60 page conversations and flooding them with garbage. Still with me? Great! Lets go over WHY i'm making this post shall we?
Lets see.... Aha, yes, this morning someone instantly assumed that i was in a bad mood because i didn't get a spot in some silly HWW game 3 weeks ago that ended up turning into, what I've heard to be, kinda bad and not worth the gold. I won't name names, as that is not the point, the only person who should receive lash from this post is me, and i very well expect it. Not sure what to talk about now, but lets see what else i can pull from the land-fill, nope, not much else, I think I'm about done here, hanging up my hat and handing my salutations to those who deserve it, i might add more later if i feel like it, and i probably will, this is not about me entirely, no, its to show people how much has actually changed. And it saddens me to see this happen, but as a good man once said; "Change is Inevitable, bound by time itself to happen, so instead of trying to revert it, we should instead hope for the best, and expect the worst." - [REDACTED]
I knew the Forum would eventually change, but for the worst, I did not think it would be so. I'll gladly chat with anyone who would like to discuss anything, but my entire argument rests here, forevermore, and to the end. (Oh btw Carking i know you'll find this, you have responded to threads that are legitimately 3+ years old, you're bound to see this eventually, if it be in 5 minutes or 5 years, this isn't entirely on you, you could have changed what you chose to influenced and instead turned this place into a thriving, nice community with the activity you brought with you.)

Guy who used to be active on the forum weighing in here. I’m on mobile, so forgive the formatting.
I was very active on this forum 2 or 3 years ago, and I’ve been checking on it semi regularly ever since. I’m not as much of a veteran as some other guys, but I think I’ve been around long enough to give a perspective.
I’ll start off with the positive things that Carking has done for this. I started off in the forums last golden age, when Karl, Grand, and Whowh were the most prominent members. The forum was decently active, and had quality content back then. Then, as Covid ended, and people stepped back from the game, the forum died. For a year or two, the forum was barely hanging on. Then, Carking came. I care about this forum, and I respect him and others for reviving it.
However, it seems like this isn’t being used for its intended purpose. The forum used to have a large part of quality content, that was related to Call of War. There were good playthroughs and many arguments about the best way to play the game. Now, the forum has just turned into a sometimes spammy chat room. Chat rooms are perfectly fine. But that’s what discord is for. The forum is meant for slower, long-form conversations. It feels like the forum isn’t even about CoW anymore. I’d rather have less activity and better quality. Sorry about the rant.

I'm only a few months on the forum so I won't have any idea "how it was before" except for the archived threads of the previous years,it seems "the more things change the more it stays the same" 
...
And let's be honest about the forum;waves come and go.So many topics have been discussed and will be discussed again.There will be moments where there's no real "something" to the discuss and the focus might drift off to sillyness (which still at this point,no one is holding a gun against your head to read, participate or reply to a thread)
I myself gets annoyed if new comers don't read the forums and post questions and threads of topics already explained,I myself did it when I joined the forum LoL.We all started as dumb,we need to remember it, sometime in the past we annoyed someone else.
The thing about the "forum gang" is maybe just an issue about some members not being in the click anymore I don't know...
As for @Carking the 6th the person who is the focus point of this thread(he was mentioned in the first remark in the second sentence I think).Not everything evolves around him.He is just an active member with useful advice as with so many other members.And may I add that Carking once in a thread (can't remember which thread) asked and mentioned,what happened to his/their friend @Fox-Company... only to be publicly humiliated...

fox, you clearly do not have the necessary knowledge to talk to people behind their back like that. I simply laugh in irony whenever you speak. There is no such thing as “groups” CarKing is a good irl friend of mine, and I will take his side no matter what. He deserves respect, like you all need to give. You can’t wholeheartedly beat someone up mentally and then proceed to antagonize him. If you clearly can’t communicate nicely here, I have no clue what horrors you say in person. Fox, when you got upset over losing USSR in the game, and telling people that you will leave forum... What were you thinking? Hmmh?
And then telling everyone that you will leave the forum, after blaming who? Sam? Car? Other mods? For not being able to 'notify' you.
