  2. What do you find the same?
The past is a foreign country.

Any reason why you guys think it's unrealistic?
Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.
-Winston Churchill
Attack rapidly, ruthlessly, viciously, without rest, however tired and hungry you may be, the enemy will be more tired, more hungry. Keep punching.
-George S. Patton

Combat in WW2 just wasn't like that.

True. Especially on the German front. It does show what a fanatical person that's been raised and trained to do one thing can and will do.

Apocalypse Now, it's good film.

Definitely worth it.

Generation War is a 4 part series on Netflix, one of the few WW2 shows/movies that doesn't show German soldiers blindly running into machine guns :P

Good war movies? Midway, Patton, In Harms Way, and the best of all, "Ike" the War Years, was a mini series.

You find Black Hawk Down unrealistic? It was basically a reenactment of what actually happened. So think again.

That doesn't mean it was exactly accurate. Hurt Locker is supposedly accurate, Marines who served with EOD boys say it is one of the worst movies about war to date.
