Let's start with one 750 each of a good vodka (e.g., Absolut, Grey Goose, or Chopin potato), a good gin (e.g., Plymouth, or The Botanist, etc.), and a good rum (e.g., Smith and Cross, or Mount Gay, etc.). Get a 750 or 375 of Cointreau (don't buy the cheap triple sec stuff), a 375 of a good French dry vermouth (e.g., Dolin, Noilly-Prat), and 12 ounce (500 ml) squeeze bottle in which we can make simple syrup. And if you like a good Old Fashioned, get a decent bottle of rye or bourbon. Small bottle of Angostura bitters always comes in handy. See if you can find a hand-juicer for about 5 or 6 euros for squeezing your own limes and lemons, and a cheap Boston shaker set (tin and pint glass) and strainer. We'll teach you to make a classic Daiquiri for starters.Quasi-duck wrote:
Sure why not, I may as well cash out. I'm a bit of a scrooge so I think the high cost will make me drink slower. I've 200 euro to spend, what should I get?
Favourite Drink?
I hope this doesn't breach some type of community standards, apologies to the staff if it does.
My favourite drink is probably Malibu. It's pretty expensive though so Guinness is on par with it. Though Beamish is on par with Guinness for me since Guinness tastes a little bit nicer, but in pubs Beamish is dirt cheap compared to Guinness.
My question to everyone else is, what's yer poison?

My shop has Cpt. Morgan, Havana Club, Sea Dog, Bacardi and Kraken. Any of these a "good" rum? Should it be spiced or white?MontanaBB wrote:

@MontanaBB I've bought a bottle of Fireball to practice my sipping. Cinnamon whiskey if someone doesn't know what it is, absolutely delicious stuff.
Oh. It's a drink created by fermenting honey with water. Sometimes with fruits, berrys, grains, herbs and spices.Quasi-duck wrote:

I know what it is haha, I mean what's it like to drink.aki.hitori wrote:

Oh, I can't describe it. It warws the soul.
Must be a great drink so. I've been thinking of making my own but my house doesn't really have the right conditions for fermenting alcohol, I would think (prone to mould growth, as many Irish homes are).
Too bad that the cigar shop that makes the best Cappuccino in the area is closed due to Corona virus related regulations for non-essential businesses (e.g. not a food store, pharmacy, medical facility, nor gas station) ...gusv wrote:

How is tobacco non-essential lol? I'm pretty sure many people will be near to a murderous rampage without it lol.gusv wrote:
