France.

Remember this date. November 13th 2015. A day when disaster rocked the world.

Late last night, Paris was attacked. Attacked once again, by ISIS. 120 innocent Parisians and other nationalities, have been slaughtered in cold blood, several of the barbaric gunmen have been killed and President Hollande has deployed the armed forces to the streets of Paris. Now I like a French joke now and then but in respect for those killed, for the next week I will make no jibes towards our neighbours.

Stay strong France.

But also we must not forgot the innocents in Lebanon who were killed in bomb blasts in Beirut, 43 dead and over 200 injured, their lives scarred by this inhuman act, the bombing of the funeral in Baghdad, the earthquake in Mexico all stark reminders of how we may be safe in our homes and on our streets here, but in the blink of an eye that can all change

. Now we mustn't ignore the rest of the world. Think of the Kurdish and Peshmerga warriors fighting against the very brutes that have orchestrated these atrocities, respect their sacrifices they are making while risking their lives. Think about the pilots over Syria and Iraq whether they are Russian, US, British or French, they all could be killed while carrying out airstrikes and the risks they take to prevent more of this happening on a much worse scale..

Together we stand divided we fall. We are stronger and better than ISIS. We also have what they don't, each other.

This is an act of terror that will not go by unnoticed. 200 people have been killed in cold blood. 200 people. 200. The tide is turning against you, ISIS. Precisely yesterday, the vital city of Sinyar fell into Kurdish hands. WIth the fall of Sinyar, Mosul is isolated from Raqqa, and will not take long to fall into enemy hands. If you want to learn more about the Kurdish heroes, click here: Before the Reconquest of Sinyar

We are all with you, France!

The past is a foreign country.

R.I.P to those who had to go a horrible way in the recent events in Paris. My thoughts go out to the families who are now suffering, lets hope karma fights back to the people who think its okay to do this sort of thing. This world is a horrible place, but in times like this we must stand up together and show our respect.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing"

Hmm, i wonder how long this will last before the world snaps. It happened before in the 1930's when Britain, France and the US saw the horror of ww1 and didn't want another war so basically ignored Hitler and only made a few empty threats and even appeasements. But Hitler went too far and public opinion changed from wanting peace to wanting to send in the troops. I wonder if the same might happen again.

For anyone with a personal connection to such events, as what recently happened in Paris, and when the initial shock and horror of losing a loved one, a friend, a neighbor, or co-worker begins to settle; it often helps to deal with the situation if there are places where one can go to find a sense of reprieve from the tragedy; a sense of hope and promise that one will endure and recover.

What happened in Paris doesn't impact just Parisiennes or the French. Such events tend to trigger vivid recollections of one's own experiences with previous acts of terrorism and, in that way, connects us to the people and events in Paris; in a way that is particularly personal and empathetic.

Therefore, it is my sincerest hope that the CoW community will be especially mindful to be a friendly, supportive place for those seeking reassurance that terrorists won't dictate or define who we are or if we can find peace and comfort among friends.

It's everywhere, what annoys me at the moment is people on Facebook repeatedly posting #PrayForFrance despite everyone seeing their first few. Stop begging for attention!

Go to settings, then to General, and change the language.
The past is a foreign country.

This should never be forgotten. This will dictate both the future of France and the world. Not only on a military level, but hatred is being globalised towards terrorists. In fact, the day before the shootings, I had to do a thing for Logic class arguing against the detainment of suspected terrorists without trial. I'm not so sure now.
