General political census

Okay, well just out of a matter of interest. I am doing a poll, on the more common and main political ideologies.

Really, I think it would be interesting to see, what are the main polictcal stances here. Im going by a more basic spectrum. so vote!

Obviously we are going to all end up debating here, and so be it. Bring it on you leftest!

I am leaving our centralist views, just so you pick a wing..

and again, this is very broad, but just out of interest.

If you are an early voter, post an estimate below as well :)

Oh yeah, 'cause your post is a load of rubbish. By your logic we should all be jobless and hungry.
No I am not a socialist?

I like jobs and wealth

sure explain to me, why north korea, a communist state

and its counterpart South Korea, a very right wing conservative state

why the hell are so many people starving in north Korea?

and in south Korea, there so much wealth and success?

Funnily enough, South Korea has a minimum wage and labour laws. NK is shakey.

its very low, combined with the fact that there isnt a lot of socialists there to stop wealth..

cos they all look north and like..yea that a shizhole

I think you are coming around, I actually really impressed, you are turning a bit more to the right, spot on lad

Maybe you are smarter than I was thinkin :)

You're way off. How do you even get to this conclusion? I have opposed literally everything you have said in this thread.

Admitted your beloved Communism is shaky in North Korea

No, I meant labour laws. I don't know them very well.

Okay, since there is no or little benefit, lets move on

Do you like that idea of "Redistributing wealth ( I cant even say it with a straight face, what a joke)

Minimum wage is both good and bad. In the past, minimum wage and labour laws have pulled people out of poverty. That's true. But excessively strict labour laws and high minimum wages can do the complete opposite of what it's meant to, and can cause unemployment. So none of you re right, and none of you are wrong.

The past is a foreign country.

It really does vary. I'm all for equal chances for all, but I don't want some fat losers getting dole for smoking and drinking all day. Nor do I want some fat cat hoarding millions in off-shore accounts while families are being kicked out of their houses because bankers made some bad decisions.

That's because they can't pay for them.

No. During the Celtic Tiger in Ireland, families were given loans to buy houses they shouldn't have been given by bankers. Now they are being kicked out of their homes because those bankers 10 years back decided it would be a good idea to give them a loan they shouldn't have gotten.

Don't bloody accept them, then!

How were they supposed to know? The professionals told them it would be fine. It wasn't though.

Ah. but they are being kicked out 'cos they can't pay, right?

That is beside the point.

You guys should check out a country simulator called Nation States. It'll simulate all your ideas and put it into action. If you haven't tried it yet, especially the commies like @GreatbigHippo *ahem* then I highly suggest you give it a go. Compare your system to @oceanhawk's system.

I have. It doesn't give enough options to accurately simulate my ideal nation, but it comes close.

Ah I see. You should suggest it to them so you can have your dream "distopia" or whatever. :P
