General political census

Okay, well just out of a matter of interest. I am doing a poll, on the more common and main political ideologies.

Really, I think it would be interesting to see, what are the main polictcal stances here. Im going by a more basic spectrum. so vote!

Obviously we are going to all end up debating here, and so be it. Bring it on you leftest!

I am leaving our centralist views, just so you pick a wing..

and again, this is very broad, but just out of interest.

If you are an early voter, post an estimate below as well :)

Capitalists hate communism because communism is a threat to them. Certain people have just managed to convince everybody else communism doesn't work by destroying it wherever it pops up.

The US does everything it can to destroy communism, but it still holds on. I think that's pretty strong system.

No communism doesnt work. I dont know why you think it works. Or is any way better than conservatism.

Take one reason its better.. I cant even think of 1

There is a lot of chat here even though only four have voted....

Where has communism succeeded?

The Soviet Union collapsed, China is not really communist it has the communist party but is essentially capitalist so success story there, Cuba is barely holding on now that the soviet union is no longer pumping money into them the people have a poor standard of living and is defiently not a success story you can blame it on the Embargo but its being lifted so we shall soon see if thats the cause or its another common example of the failure of communism

Why would capitalists care about destroying communism if it doesn't work? And don't tell me it's because they're nice people.

you are a balls

the thing is, in the ideal world, communism is a great concept, but some people's greed and ambitions are it's cancer.

With USSR , USA played a major role in it's demise. Doing everything to hurt it economically and to infect people's minds in USSR with the western " values"

Almost everyone who have lived in USSR ( myself included ) regret that such a great country no longer exist and only wish it would still be here. , they regret that they fell to the BS western propaganda about "freedom" etc.

The 90es in all former Soviet republics were horrible, it was more of an anarchy than anything else.

As far as Capitalist ideology, i assume you mostly mean USA, it is one of the most , if the not the most corrupt system's in the world.

The human values are in danger, all what everybody thinks is MONEY. Nothing else matters. Not family, not friends, not neighbors. It is just sad to see how greed takes over people.

It has already failed, and most people in USA are brainwashed slaves , who only repeat what has been steadily fed to them through media bs. These people don't know or don't care about anything aside from the material things ( nee phone, tv, car ) :/

Greed is good, it makes people innovate society in return for profit. You wouldnt ever had the amazing medicnes we have now, unless people wanted to grow their business and make profit. Its called the profit motive, its a reason for innovating and improving society.

I think USA has many issues, People only care about phone and cars

that sounds like the biggest load of BS, I have ever heard.

Again Freedom= fairness.

USSR was a dump, inefficient and gave people no freedom. No wonder the people got sick of it, and communism collapsed. Why on earth, would you want to have the Government( especially since you didnt elect them) to run your life?

Communism fails every single time, so tell me why any body would want to life in a Commie world?

would you like to go to the gulag?

There is a difference between Libertarianism and Classical Libertarianism :(

a couple of questions.

1) Do you honestly believe you chose your gov't?)))

2) do you have a problem comprehending what you read?

3) do you know that USA has the largest number ( and percentage of population ) of incarcerated people in the world?

You have a very limited knowledge of USSR, mostly based on western propaganda and due to your age.

Also, I'd prefer GULAG to Guantanamo if it were the only choices, neither if other options available ;)

At least in Gulag you are not hung upside down and suffer the fate of learning what it is like to drown. I tried it in the shower, I can barely last a few seconds. I heard they do it up to 20 or more seconds.

Because the Gulag is like the Caribbean..

And there were a lot more people in the Gulag than Guantanamo

Actually yea, stop being one of those people, who really think they are genius for questioning simple facts.. It bugs me, , but yea we pick our government.

No no, sure I actually live in a rather centralist country, we have good schools that compete with each other, so that they deliver the best levels of education.

America would be a lot worse, had it not had its free market. America isnt perfect, and far from it. But if you think it would be better of, under a communist rule, the joke is really on you

Ahh yes, there will usually be a few bad private schools, but they are lacking the incentive to improve their school, because of Public schools, so now we stuck with a lot of bad schools..

are you trying to say public schools are better than Private schools?
