General political census

Okay, well just out of a matter of interest. I am doing a poll, on the more common and main political ideologies.

Really, I think it would be interesting to see, what are the main polictcal stances here. Im going by a more basic spectrum. so vote!

Obviously we are going to all end up debating here, and so be it. Bring it on you leftest!

I am leaving our centralist views, just so you pick a wing..

and again, this is very broad, but just out of interest.

If you are an early voter, post an estimate below as well :)

Though I voted Libertarian, I see myself as a classical liberal, which undoubtely is not the same liberal meant in the poll (the American version). Euro's have a different view what is liberal then Americans do - it would be good to make the difference in the poll

I notice that some seem very...sure of themselves when stating certain facts, especially in the Conservative camp.

Failed Capitalist states? Plenty - current day Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Im sure there are enough others that can be considered (semi)failed.

Successful leftist/socialist countries? Oh, which countries are in the top of basically every 'good' list? I wont spoil it, but its cold up there.

So though I do not support his political views, some would do good to listen to Mihail when he said 'in an ideal world'.

But that goes for most -isms, be it communist or libertarianism (similar in a way, for those who know the horseshoe political model) or any -ism. Take greed and hunger for power out of the equation, and we have world peace (and perhaps placidness as well;) ).

Haha, Grecce, Spain, Portugal, Italy and you can add Ireland

we all went to "sh 1t"

but it was not capitalism, that lead to them countries going to Pig mess..

The high tax rates( thks leftests) was the real issue, as well as bailing out the banks. The government never should have got involved.

Im not sure of any Leftest countires on top of lists.. pls inform me...

North Korea doesnt do too Good

Venuzala as well, seems to be struggling I would say

Miech meant Scandinavian countries

@MihailMD

do you know where most Swedish people want to go to college?

I actually know, a ton of Swedish people, and a few from Norway (through tennis, coach brought them over)

take a guess where they all wanted to go to college?

take a guess where most of them wanted to work( A few wanted to go to this country to study, then return to sweden)

Take a wild guess.. go on

Russia? The Soviet Union had great colleges, I would presume the Russian Federation held them on.

you changing subjects.

In regards to young people, in general a lot of young people want to go to college elsewhere, to get away from parent control, to explore other opportunities and so on.

It has little to do with them growing up in successful socialist country in this case.

Don't really know how they've failed. The thing that all of them have in common is that they're passing through economic recession, but they're not failed capitalist countries. Except maybe Greece. Before 2009 (which was when it started hitting hard in Spain), we were in the world's top 10 economies, and we are in the top 35 countries iwth highest GDP/capita.
The past is a foreign country.

Just wondering, sounds like you are calling Europe a single economy when really it is many?

I don't know much about Yugoslavia. Care to enlighten me? All I know is that it isn't a country anymore but is still in my history book on a map of Europe in the early 2000's.

Long story cut short, every member in the EU supported someone different, and America had to come in to solve it for us.

Maybe if the US joined the EU?

Please not. They're the only good people left with balls on this planet.

The past is a foreign country.
