Okay, well just out of a matter of interest. I am doing a poll, on the more common and main political ideologies.
Really, I think it would be interesting to see, what are the main polictcal stances here. Im going by a more basic spectrum. so vote!
Obviously we are going to all end up debating here, and so be it. Bring it on you leftest!
I am leaving our centralist views, just so you pick a wing..
and again, this is very broad, but just out of interest.

The minimum wage, is just a union idea, to stop their jobs being taken by unskilled young workers, willing to work for less that other low wage workers.
The minimum wage is an awful idea, does no good to anybody

so you're not? I'm not going to argue with you. Just be glad you don't live in a world without minimum wage.

Sadly those balls are being stripped away by the politicians who like to be "politically correct" and hold back some of America's greatest ambitions for the sake of money and for the good of the few or in this case, their good ole rich friends.Hopefully someone like Trump will work to erase the influence of money in politics. It's the primary root of incompetence in the current political structure.
Well, I half-agree with you on this one. If there one thing I hate on this planet, it's political correctness. That, and that alone, is what has made the EU the bulldust organization it is now. I disagree with you on the fact that money is the primary root of incompetence. The primary one is the one above.
You could say they tie in together. Money in politics gets you places (if you're the one receiving that money) and "political correctness" helps you keep that position. It creates a false persona of the man behind all that fake-ness and if revealed, you expose his incompetence and arrogance.

I think an American just proved my earlier point.
And no, Trump is not the savior, he is an at times funny distraction who knows how to run a business, but I doubt he would be capable in the White House.
We (as in: the world) need someone who excels at both. No country so far has such a person in charge as far as I know.
We don't have those kinds of people because of money and corruption. They either have to be filthy rich to even have an adequate campaign that reaches out to millions, or they have to have "connections". These connections often corrupt good politicians and force them to serve their lobbyists in the interest of their own job security. In reality, the only way we could get competent people who "excel at both" is that we would have to have the resources to prevent rigged elections, prevent hired assassins (in some cases hired by the opponent themselves) from killing the competent candidate, and compete in the bribery war that wins over critical votes.

Deficits that put the USA to 'shame', extreme unemployment (I sincerely pity the young in Spain), general poor economic country management. Even as a teenager, I figured that some (all? Including France of course) Euro countries would eventually crash and burn economically. A small note - not that the Netherlands is all good and mighty, I can name many a thing that is completely and utterly baffling when it comes to corruption and poor government spending. If we didnt have a giant gasfield in our north to compensate for this, we would be somewhere in the middle instead of the top. Just google 'Dutch Disease' and you understand what I mean.
I live in Spain, in case you didn't know. Yes, there is massive youth unemployment. Yes, our economy isn't doing very well. But our GDp has grown 3% each of the last two years, and a 3.5% is also predicted for next year. 500,000 jobs have been created just this year. I see the reality every day, and let me tell you that compared with a few years back, Spain is doing really well. In a few years, I can assure you that we'll be in the world's top 10 economies again. Now, with upcoming elections, it's just fixing some problems that we have, like the contracts and stuff like that, but we're doing fine.
I knew in fact, we talked a bit in the past.
Thanks for educating me from an inside perspective, and I will happily update my views because of it. Now for the other Mediterrannian countries then...

Guess my views have changed. According to Churchill I am dumb, because he said 'if you arent left when young, you have no heart, if you arent right when old, youre stupid'.
Still consider myself a classical liberal though (euro version), with a small efficient state and very high amounts of personal freedoms. Probably my views regarding (big) corporations have changed. An economic crisis in the 21th century and growing up in the awesome 90Γes where it was all love and happiness does that to me apparently.

Well put, even if its a saddening truth. Guess thats one thing I have to admit to like about Trumps campaign - he doesnt have all that negative baggage (and consequently acts like an jerk...to put it mildly).
I shudder the thought he would be the next president though *starts building a bomb shelter*

Nobody's going to hire workers they don't need just because they're cheap. If anything they're going to pay the workers they already have less.
People fought and died for things like minimum wage, and you'd just undermine it? Ask one of the people who was killed in the US labor movement what the world was like without things like minimum wage and unions- oh wait, you can't. He was killed by the very company he worked for, and the government did nothing.

If I could hire 2 people for $10 or 1 for $10 i'd hire 1 for $5. I don't need that extra worker. One person could do the job just fine. You won't increase employment by removing minimum wage.
