Correction @Quasi-duck
I made a mistake
what that Chinese general said, was that the smog could stop american guided missiles, . This is also the general, who said the Americans would never make it to Baghdad in 2003...... Hours later, American troops were marching into Hussians's palace.
And he also said that General Gadaffi would never be found, shortly before the video went viral..

Communism doesn't work and always fails because of human nature and greed, just like in capitalistic societies the top 1% end up controlling everything no matter what economic system. It's a sad reality, but in a emotionless world, communism is by far the best system, as everyone would be equal. However, we don't live in that world, we live in a world full of greedy men and power chasing maniacs. Capitalism is obviously the superior system in this world we currently live in, but in a utopian society, communism would be the ideology they'd follow.
That said, modern capitalism isn't actual capitalism. Even the most capitalistic societies have adopted a lot of socialistic policies that blur the line between the two.
ahem.. here's the quote:
"We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light."
No, not at all. Most hispanic people have been affected by the CIA's coups and assassinations of their beloved leaders. They have witnessed the failures of socialist/communist ideals because they've witnessed the CIA MAKE THEM FAIL before they even happened. There is a reason the U.S. is the 2nd most hated country in the world. (behind Israel)oceanhawk wrote:
Like jezz, so many Hispanic people, are not joining Conservative and Libertarian ideals, because they have flippin witnessed the failures of the Socialist and Communist ideals, and they have suffered. Unfortunately, by your logic (the same logic I use) capitalism is also the most likely to cause abuse and suffering. Corruption can happen in communism, but there are rare individuals who have little interest in personal gain over others. Those people can be selected as leaders. In capitalism, the wealthy individuals who hold so much influence over society gain power through being greedy and ruthless. A good middle ground has not happened yet, nor do I believe it ever happen under the continued control of capitalism.Jacey521 wrote:

You do know that those "greedy men and power chasing maniacs" includes everyone here, don't you? It's a natural human feeling.Jacey521 wrote:

I had a conversation with an old man who'd lived through the Cold War, who'd lived through 9/11, who'd lived through the growing Muslim fanaticism and hate towards the USA. I asked him, more or less, "Why is the USA hated so much? It gives out billions in foreign aid to help poor countries." He answered "The USA isn't hated despite the billions of dollars in foreign aid, it's hated because of them." The USA is hated because of its power.Jacey521 wrote:

Or maybe it's because they put crackpot dictators in power so communism doesn't rise, then attack that nation when they get too strong and destabilize a region. Or maybe because they fund and train Mujahedin's to fight the Soviets, then come crying when the same Mujahedin's attack them.Pablo22510 wrote:

No. Take the mujaheddins, for example. They bloody well helped them to remain independent. But because they had the power to help them, the same mujaheddin who sould have been grateful attacked them.Quasi-duck wrote:

Well, it's not actually a statement of fact. I'm just saying they're jealous of America's power.Quasi-duck wrote:

In Osama Bin Laden's November 2002 "Letter to America",[5][6] he explicitly stated that al-Qaeda's motives for their attacks include: Western support for attacking Muslims in Somalia, supporting Russian atrocities against Muslims in Chechnya, supporting the Indian oppression against Muslims in Kashmir, the Jewish aggression against Muslims in Lebanon, the presence of US troops in Saudi Arabia,[6][7][8] US support of Israel,[9][10] and sanctions against Iraq.[11]

The top 1% dont own everything. Also having wealthy people is needed to make poor people rich. Capitalism is the only way to make poor people rich without making rich people poor. If somebody works hard to make a successful business, why would an unthinking socialist or commie take all that wealth away from them?Jacey521 wrote:
