I've been wondering about this for a while, but felt the only place people might understand why I want it would be here or possibly some other of my games, but does anyone know (cos I sure as hell don't) of any grand strategy games based in WWII that take into account all of the politics of the time?
I've wondered for ages, it'd be a brilliant game in my opinion, but I think its just "too soon" and I wonder if anyone thinks in our life times whether it wont be?

Well, if you're looking for a game based in WWII with political parts to it as well, take a look at Hearts of Iron III. It's a pretty good game, with both a political and military basis to it, but also like a nation simulator. It is pretty extensive, and can be hard to get in to for beginners to the game. You should look it up.
As for other games, well, I don't really know. Something you'll have to do some research on, I suppose.

Hearts of iron 4 is coming out soon (This year maybe) as well. Heres some gameplay footage (Link to dev's playing this on youtube) Note: The videos get better quality as time goes on as the dev's improve at live streaming. To be honest that's all i can think of at this moment. Not many grand strategy games take into account politics.
