T-34 Tank profile

The T-34 mod 1941 was an amazing tank, it was a great all round tank , and modifications of it was still in active duty until 1950 in russia and still in use today in some countries. The 1941 modification was equipped with a 76mm cannon that could penetrate 75mm at 500m, and its armour was:

Hull: 45mm Front, 45mm Side, 10mm Rear

Turret: 45mm Front, 40mm Side, 40mm Rear

The T-34 was a great tank due to its balance and also due to the sheer number produced which overwhelmed the German Tanks. The T-34 was superior to the German Pz 3's and 4's but unfortunately they had poorly trained crews and in few a number and so were overwhelmed easily, but then a very shocking report started to come in of an invincible tank, the KV-1

KV-1 Tank profile

The KV-1 was a modern tank in the Russian army, coming into production in 1940, and shared the same cannon as the early T-34. It was equipped with a 76mm cannon that could penetrate 65mm at 500m, and its armour was:

Hull: 75mm Front, 75mm Side, 70mm Rear

Turret: 90mm Front, 75mm Side, 60mm Rear

The KV-1 was the best tank in the world until the Tiger came out, it was unmatched with its armour and firepower.

The German tanks could no penetrate the KV-1, the Kv-1 kept moving forward shrugging off hits and returning deadly fire. It was so powerful German tanks had the order that if they met a KV-1 in combat to try to shoot its tracks then call in air support to finish the tank off while the German tank was to back off. Even with this hidderences the German army continued pushing.
