I drew Historic World War flag map
I drew the countries' borders on a real life map as they appear in the infamous game mode Historic World War, and the flags that appear in the game.
Oh and I messed up Canada

Excellent cartography, but the hell is that projection? Is that Gall-Peters?! I prefer Robinson, although the Platee-Caree the game uses is pretty good too.

Yes! Robinson for life!!! I think they were going for a similar idea as the games projection, even if turned out differently. I’ve tried to draw Earth alone and it’s not easy, but with the flags (especially Spain India and Portugal) it sucks. What really surprised me is that they did it physically.) I can draw maps pretty well when I have one in front of me (actually better physically than digitally), but from memory they look like something that belongs on r/shittymapporn. (Also when I do it from memory it's always in Platee-Caree, because most of my geographical knowledge comes from playing CoW.)Carking the 6th wrote:

Honestly what impresses me the most is that Canada is still recognisable as Canada (I tried cropping out the rest of North America and yep, it still was). Of all bits of coast that is by far the one I find the most difficult.

Helll nah, I just give up when doing Canada and draw random shapes north of Quebec that vaguely resemble the north. Scary. I haven’t drawn a world map though. I like to go globe and only do the land area from about Alaska to around Iran.

Oddly enough I'm shite at drawing the UK but I can do East Asia really well.
Or maybe not so odd, given the theatre I prefer in HWW.
