Independent Catalonia ?

Do you think that Catalonia should be independent? Catalonia is a historical region of Spain which was annexed by the Kingdom of Castile 500 years ago, they have an own language, own habit and an own culture. For these reasons the people of Catalonia asked that you want to be a nation. Do you what do you think? Do you think that Catalonia should be independent?

I heard that they're going to break away due to an economic crisis in Spain.

Im all for the little guy getting the right to govern itself.

I currently don't know the case, does the area have it's own representation? How is it regarded amongst the rest of the Spanish? Is the area already quite independent?

Catalonia is an area with its own language and customs, the area has an own Parliament and different laws,40% of the population of Catalonia want to be Spanish, there are large Spanish companies in Catalonia and most of them are important, and the Spanish people reject the independence of Catalonia.

If Catalonia It becomes independent no was be accepted in the European Union.

Catalonia is a historical region belonging to the Kingdom of Spain, there isn't much to discuss.
