Wait the terrain or the city?
CarKing the 6th of the Abrahamic Caliphate
I can't say it's an outright mistake though, but maybe the in-game notation for the terrain shown in the attached image, CHIHFENG ( Traditional Chinese / Japanese : 赤峰 ), might be better spelled as CHIFENG.
Because when expressed in Chinese Pinyin ( that the foremost romanization system for Standard Mandarin Chinese ), 赤峰 is pronounced to be “ Chìfēng ”.

Wait the terrain or the city?
This is a “ Rural province ”.Carking the 6th wrote:

The name of the province "CHIHFENG", which is a rural province, may be misspelled.
Ohhhh that makes so much more sense. This is possibly a spelling mistake. I know they made some mistakes like calling Amman Ammam in the WaW map.pod_than wrote:

Many spelling mistakes in English itself, leave the others out of question.
And where is “ eryukkune ”?

I know of cases where several countries have multiple aliases ( for example, Russian and Yakut, or English and Hindi, etc. ) or have several spellings.
So, I can understand why it is registered with the wrong name, but I can't think of any reason why a non-existent place name would be registered though.
If I had a guess it may be a tiny village in Siberia, that has never been transliterated (basically the sound of the word transferred into another language. Like こんにちわ to Kon'nichiwa) into English until the game, and therefore is non-existent in English google.pod_than wrote:

Some of the mistakes I've come across, all in the English servers. Some might have been fixed by now, but I put them here:
Well a couple of these are technically not wrong. For example Mekka is an alternate spelling that I’ve seen before. Mecca is more common but I’ve seen Mekka before. Lisboa Is sort of the same; it’s just sometimes spelled that way. México city could be changed though. It shouldn’t be too big a deal to add an accent mark.Brando Dilla wrote:

- Lisbon is Lisboa in WaW
- Mecca is Mekka in 1944
- Beograd is Belgrad in WaW AND Clash
- Amman is Ammam in WaW
- New Delhi is New Dehli in HWW
- Iwo Jima is Iwojima in HWW
- Dubrovnik is Dubrovnick in Clash (this appears to be fixed)
- México is Mexico in all gamemodes (If Goiás has the accent mark why can't México?)
Lisboa is a Portuguese word. Meka is the old fashioned spelling. No one cares about Iwo Jima being IwoJima. Who cares about Mexico, especially this being English.
Makkah is also another spelling and is the transliteration of the word. There are quite a few names for the holy city!
Which of these is your favorite place: Southkorea, Newyork, or Thedominicanrepublic?Claudio NVKP wrote:

South Korea. New York is overpriced and dirty, and while I like the Dominican Republic, South Korea managed to go from an undeveloped war torn nation to a massive economy with significant global influence.Brando Dilla wrote:
