Legalization of marijuana in the U.S

As I'm sure a lot of you already know legal marijuana is a trendy topic in the social media and news outlets of the U.S. More and more states are leaning towards some form of legalization rather that be medical or full blown recreational. More than half of the population of the U.S supports legalization of marijuana and it's not just the general public. Many political officials also voice their support for legalization. What are your views on marijuana? Are you a smoker? do you support or oppose legalization?

Personally I am a avid supporter of marijuana, I've smoked since my early teens and haven't stopped. The CEO of the company I work for acutally supports marijuana so drug tests aren't an issue for me thankfully. Anyways as I said I fully support legalization and I am active in the local community helping to spread the word and educate people on marijuana. I also help a local group in getting signatures and votes to send to the proper officials in a attempt to speed up the legalization process. Over here in Texas we're actually waiting on the newest bill to move to the next level.

Anyways I look forward to reading you're replys, Let's see them! :D :D :D :D

It would, no doubt, it is better legal anyway
So you're lying? Who are you, Farage? Or Johnson?
wha?
Lol, you're stumped again.

You are putting forward promises that legalizing weed will reduce alcohol abuse etc. without anything to show it is true. Kind of like how Farage and Johnson promised piles of money going to the NHS after Brexit but are now back tracking.

Logic, there was no logic behind leaving the EU, other than the fear of a EU army etc, and some other junk like that,

Do you know who Johnson is? Im referring to Gary Johnson, the libertarian Candidate for the US Presidential Election.

Alchol in great amount is very bad for you, Weed isnt. Hence the platform for the legalization of it, by the Libertarian party.

Leaving the EU, was pretty stupid idea..

I have big soul and big heart, since I actually care about the poor.

Unlike the greedy communist pigs, taking peoples freedom, and making them poor. Fat pigs taking the peoples food, when they are starving. This aint for here, but communism is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard of, It also doesnt work, sorry about that.

Lol, you have stated that giving people social welfare benefits is stupid because it encourages them not to work.

Lol. Even at that it is better than capitalism, remember that time in Ireland when de Valera made everyone super "equal"?

Article 41.2 of the 1937 Constitution attracted significant opposition from feminists.

The article reads:

1. In particular the State recognises that by her life within the home, woman gives to the State a support without which the common good cannot be achieved.

2. The State shall, therefore, endeavour to ensure that mothers shall not be obliged by economic necessity to engage in labour to the neglect of their duties within the home

Haha is that a joke?

Okay, I never said that, I said take away most social beneifits. Not all. And that is true, welfare isnt good, it does no good to society, provided there are enough jobs in the economy (which there would be, in a capitalism world, low min wage so stop unions preventing job creation etc) people are better gettting a job. All welfare does is make it harder to leave poverty.

Welfare is simply rewarding failure, and that is not good. Welfare destroys the incentive to work, innovate society and improve society.

Even when they have the potential to become productive members of society, the loss of welfare state benefits if they try to do so is an implicit β€œtax” on what they would earn that often exceeds the explicit tax on a millionaire. If increasing your income by $10,000 would cause you to lose $15,000 in government benefits, would you do it? In short, the political left’s welfare state makes poverty more comfortable, while penalizing attempts to rise out of poverty.

the left’s agenda is a disservice to [the poor], as well as to society. …The agenda of the left β€” promoting envy and a sense of grievance, while making loud demands for β€œrights” to what other people have produced β€” is a pattern that has been widespread in countries around the world. This agenda has seldom lifted the poor out of poverty. But it has lifted the left to positions of power and self-aggrandizement, while they promote policies with socially counterproductive results.

-Thomas Sowell

Welfare, doesnt nothing good, again its like the unions, they claim to do good but do nothing good for the poor

Oh yeah, let's make sure that single mother of three who was beaten and abused by her husband who left her for a leggy 20 year old stays down in the dirt, right where she belongs! Capitalism!

Lol, yeah, it really sucks when people try to improve working conditions and increase wages so they can actually survive.

Anyway, what do your silly lies have to do with smoking the dank kush freely?

Because you would have to be as high as the trees smoking dank kush to actually think communism works or helps anybody

How does Communism help the poor? How does welfare help the poor? Im not for the complete over night removement of welfare. However I would want huge deductions in it.

Nobody should be down in the dirt, I know the people of communist North Korea are, and I know the people of china were, before it opened up to free enterprise and foreign INVESTMENT not Aid! That lifted China from poverty.

Why would you not want her to get a job? Put her kids in a good school? Move to a nice home? Have freedom to choice? Aet up a business, marry who ever she wants? let her kids actually have a chance of being sucessful, rather than have the communits keeping her in the dirty, stupid communist pigs

Unions do very little good, I guess improving conditions are good, but wages haha dont make me laugh.

The people at the very bottom, with no skills no education (thks to public schools) cant get work, because the unions whos members are better skilled and better educated, try keep their jobs safe, by pushing for a high min wage, and keeping the bottom workers, out of the job market.

And lets debunk some myths while we are here...

But without a minimum wage or union protection, wouldn’t employers abuse workers? In a real free market, no, they can’t. Because workers have choices. Employers have an incentive to maintain a good relationship with employees – one that keeps them reasonably loyal – because workers can quit and go work for a rival.
