I really liked the response I got from my poll on heavy tanks so I thought I'd add a list for medium tanks as well. If someone thinks I missed a tank and should add one to the poll just let me know.

Combined with superior armor
Look at the argument between Kollin and I, while some German tanks were better than some Soviet ones, all fell below the Soviet T-34, KV-1 and KV-2.

better troops
I'll give you this but they were ordered to retreat and burn what they left behind.

With the best moral as well!
Debatable.
Moral now...
Germans were in better spirits, Better equipped and fed.
But glad to see you acknowledge, the superior German troops

Fed, varies. Equipped? Debatable. Some German troops had the MP-18, a machine pistol/SMG from 1918. There was also the "Amry's Door Knocker"....

That took about a year or so though.
I never said it didn't that time period is when the KV-1 was effective.

Of course it is, it is commonly known as the Tiger (P) and was a Tiger prototype. By your logic, the B-17 is the same as the DB-1 and Martin Model 146. Are they though? No, they are not.
your analysis of my logic seems to be flawed. If we continue with your analysis on my logic it would deduce that all weapons meant to fill a role are the same, Which I never said. The three aforementioned planes were meant to fill similar roles. Except for the Db-1 which was a medium bomber, The Martin Model 146 was in competition with the Boeing model 299 [the prototype for the B-17]. These aircraft... differed from each other in numerous ways, were designed by different companies. and had completely different fuselage designs. I fail to seem how you came to this hypothesis based on your analysis of my logic.

The Tiger (P) and Tiger I were both prototypes running in the same competition. The planes I posted were all prototypes running for the same competition.

I prefer to think of this as a fact based, friendly debate, between two peers.

Poor wording on my part then. I do apologise.
Fixed.

I'm afraid I must disagree with your statement. the VK 45.01 (H) was the prototype to the Tiger I both were built and designed by Henschel & Son. I believe you may be referring to the Porsche prototype the VK 30.01 (P) which was in fact in competition with the VK 36.01 (H) or more accurately the VK 45.01 (H).

In 1938 R&D restarted on the VK 30.01 (H) and VK 36.01 (H). Both of these tanks used the Durchbruchwagen as a test bed [the Durchbruchwagen was a older irrelevant tank design]. Development for the VK 30.01 (H) focused on a heavy medium tank but was dropped in favor of the VK 36.01 (H). The latter VK 36.01 (H) was further developed in the into the VK 45.01 (H) and the VK 36.01 (H) was dropped in favor of it. Meanwhile Porsche was designing their own model the VK 45.01 (P) [which was the aforementioned Tiger (P). I earlier said the VK 30.01 (P) was the Tiger (P) I made an error. The VK 30.01 (P) was Porsche's entry into the medium tank contract in competition with the VK 30.01 (H). The VK 30.01 (P) was not the prototype to the Tiger I but was developed into the VK 45.01 (P). Getting back on subject the VK 45.01 (H) was further developed into the now famous Tiger I. To sum things up it went like this
Henschel & son
--- VK 30.01 (H) --- Canceled made into VK 36.01 (H)
Durchbruchwagen---
--- VK 36.01 (H) --- VK 45.01 (H) --- Tiger I
the VK 30.01 (H) assisted in the development of the Panzer V and other tanks as well.
Porsche
VK 3001 (P)--- VK 45.01 (P) --- PanzerjΓ€ger Tiger (P) [also known as the Elefant]

Thanks, seems to make a bit of sense now. I prefer how the Americans and Soviets/Russians label their experiments.

RIght? Germans always had to make everything complicated from engineering to naming a freaking tank haha.

Haha, yeah. I'd to try and figure out how to use one of their buckets.

Woah you're already on to German buckets!? I'm still stuck on forks and spoons.

Where did that nonsense come from? Probably one of the best tanks of all time, I never remember saying I did not like it.

Haha your sig, perfect example of why the Abrams is a beast.

Yeah, it is actually a fairly new gif. It is from when US forces were participating in training operations for winter/snow combat in Norway a few months back. As far as I know there has been a recent build up of US forces in Norway.
I was inspired to put it up by your Tiger.

Oh yeah that's right, The U.S is building up in the east over that Russia nonsense.
16 May 2016, 21:18
The Russians could make the t-34 much faster than the panzer V. The t-34 didn't have the most powerful gun or the best armor when compared to late, war German tanks, but it had the perfect mix of everything to get the job done.

Again? What has Russia done that the US doesn't do all the time?
