I lost 1 infantry and 4 militia.
you are a balls
I'm sure about every player has figured out by now that militia is just about useless. But despite all of it's drawbacks, militia has one advantage: you can create it with just a level one barracks. I've decided to test in one of my games (2v2 Mediterranean map, Italy) whether or not this advantage makes militia worth building. I built a barracks in almost every province to produce militia, and am creating plenty of food. More powerful units will take priority in both construction and research, and militia will act as a meatsheild and give me overwhelming numbers on land (i already have command of the sea). In this incredibly dry thread, I'll post the results of major battles involving militia here for anybody who's interested.

Militia uses up so much food!
And manpower, High risk low reward tons of fun unit
High risk? Who cares, I can create more underlings in 8 hours and ship 'em to the front in a day.
implying you have infinite res to support all that militia, and I know this can be done on the 2v2 map, has anyone used it on a larger map? I like to see that.
