Mock Presidential Race pt. 2

Hello! Back again with another mock presidential race!

This one will share a lot of things with the first version however, this one will be a race for the Prime Minister of The United Kingdom!

Due to the rather recent resigning of David Cameron, I thought it would be a good country. Many of you suggested we should do a race for a different country! So here we go!

Same rules apply as the last race, (reference thread "Mock Presidential Race" in "off topic")

However you will be running for Prime Minister of the United Kingdom!

The following political parties in the race are the following,

PartyPolitical PositionLeader

Have fun! Remember candidates can respectfully debate each other!

Poll for party representatives will end July 15th!

After that, the winners of each party will move on to the PM race!

Everybody can vote, and your vote can be changed at anytime! Just remember to use that feature responsibly!

Mate, you are such a Scotsman. Well, not really. No true Scotsman would say that.

After the US failed, there was a rule of socialism...

Then they began to ditch that, and the following year GDP jumped 8%

And incomes were up, and the standard of living improved..

So again, communism didnt work..

Maybe you are all forgetting, but it isn't capitalism that is helping the Vietnamese economy to grow, it's Western World purchases of massive amounts of sweatshop goods made by ultra-cheap labor that is borderline with slave labor. And that is as typical of communism as it gets. They claim to absorb capitalist principles when -- really -- they are just making forced (or implied-forced) labor at dirt-poor wages such that there are no better alternatives for them. Then American companies and others ship their goods to here for our throw-away economy to thrive even more.

I am a capitalist and I am an American. And this is the one part of the system that I do not approve of.

If you ask me, Vietnam isn't full of capitalists, it is full of victims of communistic exploitation from socialistic quasi-businesses that are selling to capitalists at ludicrous prices.

It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.

you realize, that makes you only a theoretically-recognized duck. I suppose if you walk like a duck and talk like a duck but look like a human, then -- at best -- you are only a quasi-duck.

In Top Gun, Goose is really only a quasi-goose...though I heard he got his call-sign from pinching hot ladies' butts. That's not really very goose-like.

Oh so this is a thread to discuss the failures of the US and politics? Yup....13 pages ought to scratch the surface. Let's make this at least up to 100.

Let us not forget the stupidities of Hillary Clinton towards Donald Trump for his very warm relationship he has shared with Putin. My question is why would such a delusional politician ruin themselves by saying that the relationship (a good one) between the nominee Trump and the President of the largest country in the world is "Shameful".

If any of her supporters could pick up on that they would know that the relationship between one of the most tense countries that is rather welcoming is NOT what the US should be Ahh and Hmmm'ing.

I do not like Donald Trump, I do not like US politics in general, but coming from a ani-Rajoy man like myself, I can proudly say that Mr. Trump is not hurting the campaign at all by his warm remarks to the "supreme" leader of Russia Mr. Putin. It is what the world needs, rather than this I hate you, you hate me, so lets sit in tight chairs and give smirks to each other attitude that Obama worsened during his two term presidency.

Any follower of Hillary Clinton would understand that. I have nothing against those who support Mrs. Clinton either, it is their choice, they make it.

Hello there! :)

Do you think the people in Vietnam, would have been better off before they opened up their markets, and let free enterprise spread?

No, but there are other benefits of having the spread of free enterprise

Sweatshops arent great, but still better than starving because of the inefficient government handouts..

I relative of mine, works for pennys. she now inspects the factories where the clothes are made. If they are doing bad things, they get the axe. And they are getting surprised visits a lot.

Now no not every company does this, however she needs flights to get there.. She also needs a hotel.. And she needs to get a taxi around.. And also dont forget food, I hear the Cuisine of Vietnam is nice, lots of soups I hear..

And dont forget, need to get a nice present to bring home to the kids.. maybe something cultural?

See the spread of free enterprise, works in many ways.... And dont forget, that lots of companies also need to build warehouses etc there..

Plus, the main export of Vietnam, or one of the main exports is rice and coffee...

Free enterprise and free trade are allowing Vietnamease producers access to bigger markets, and getting their products to countries that cant produce these products..

She is an inspector and is paid in an abandoned currency? Poor woman.... This is why we need communism, so all wages are equal.

Lol, no, a book for everyone to read, then pass it onto another family.

Or maybe just the US removing trade sanctions 20 years after they lost the war....

Primark then..

And all wages shouldnt be equal. Do u really think a doctor and bin man should be paid the same?

Yea maybe a book, I like Thomas Sowell.. look him up, you would like him

Hmm.... why would they want to trade with the USA? They all thought Capitalism doesnt work and Socialism is better... so why would they want to trade with USA?

After all America is capitalist? then how come it seems to be the richest country on earth?

Yes, both are vital jobs. No binmen means that everyone will just throw their rubbish at the side of the road, making everything worse. More diseases, rats, etc.

So they can sell their cheap clothing lines and coffee to those pigs so everyone can have more money, together.

Luck. You probably wouldn't be saying that if Britain's empire hadn't collapsed.

That's just stupid. But, *cough cough*, no at single Communist country followed that rule. After all, all of the fat Poliburo pigs had their dachas.

Quasi-duck wrote:

'Together'? Are you kidding? Do you think Trần Đẑi Quang has the same amount of money as everyone in the country? I really don't know how naive you can be. Communism has never worked, at least not in the full and not how it was suposed to be carried out according to Marx, Engels and Lenin.

But it did. Put up with it.
The past is a foreign country.
