Of course this does.. It proves, that the government just made things worse.. The Economy would have recovered a lot faster, had the government not got in the way.. The government caused the worst of it, end of

b. This is NOT about the great depression, this is about the US labor movement, a time when companies would have their own employees murdered to prevent dissent, and police would (usually) accept bribes and look the other way.

Dude I can say the same thing about the Soviets killing their own citizens, doesn't mean you'll do that too. Fascism is a relatively unfinished ideology. Just because one WW2 Nation did that it doesn't mean all people who follow Fascism want to do that lol.

It is flabbergasting to see how insane this thread has gotten as of late. The heated discussions...the vague accusations..the war of source articles. It is insanity!

Now, if I had won the election, my ITP would have restricted all this "talk" and kept the peace. Sometimes, I think this whole "Freedom of Speech" thing is a little overrated. But still, the commies want to argue and argue how good communism and capitalism sucks. But in a communist state, they can't even say that publicly even though they'd be agreeing with their own leaders. And the capitalists want to argue and argue how good capitalism is and how communism sucks. But in a capitalist state, the unregulated masses vote in liberals that institute wealth-stealing socialistic practices of redistribution and "freedom" for amoral behavior that destroys the culture.

This is why Imperialistic Theocracy is the best form of government. The enemies of the state are not tolerated. Speech is allowed but with restrictions against anything that hurts the public faith or the state's interests. Thus rabble-rousing is prevented and chaos is kept in check. Riots and protests are non-existent as people live calm and cultured lives.

The economy is partly regulated for fairness of trade but it remains a mostly hands-off form of capitalism in the truest measure of a "laissez faire" state. And since the government operates with superior control over the morality of the people in public life, there is security and peace for all. Yet, for all this, redistribution of wealth is largely non-existent so taxes are far lower than most nations per GDP.

Admittedly, Imperial Theocracy is oppressive to those that don't like the system, but unlike all the other forms of government, this one has a relatively small cost compared to the benefits. Unlike most despotic forms of government, mine is kindhearted enough to buy out the properties of anyone who wishes to leave -- and at fair market value. We will happily let them leave and leave with their full assets in tow.

Communists and other totalitarian governments refuse to allow their "talent" to leave, thus the oppressive prison-like status of it's peoples. This is where the Theocratic part of the government shows it's true compassion. We don't shoot anyone who wants to leave. However, since most people would quickly learn how open my government is to capitalism for the every-man, even those that don't like the morality systems will choose to stay. Because everybody wants to get rich, they will gladly sign away a small amount of their former amoral freedoms for the superior benefits of the Imperium.

This, my friends is the ultimate compromise: a free market economy supporting a rigid high-morality state.

And remember, my competition, the capitalist candidate, only managed to beat my Imperial Theocratic Party by one...single...vote. By the science of statistics, clearly, this means that nearly half of all people would favor my form of government without even having a chance to yet experience the wealth that it would bring. And the rest of them would largely come around once they see the enormous prosperity.

Alas, maybe the majority will see the light next time. If I can bring about a near victory with only one election, my followers will surely convince the populous next time of the wonderful things that Imperial Theocracy can bring.

I beleive in freedom of speech, but Communism is a disease. It is a virus, that infects nations. It kill's and crumbles a nation and a nations people.
