Per popular demand, the Race is back! Same rules apply as previous races, however I will re-state some of the more important things in this thread,
-Everyone can run for president/PM/Chancellor
-Everyone can vote, whether you are a candidate or voter.
-Candidates can debate on this thread. Try to keep it semi-respectful otherwise I will request the thread to be closed under extreme circumstances (I'm pretty laid back on this, so don't be afraid)
-Voters may also question candidates and participate in debates.
-Voters may change votes at any time.
-If candidates wish to vote for another candidate they must resign from the race.
-New Rule: Candidates may NOT switch political parties to enable themselves to stay in race.
With all the rules Mumbo-jumbo aside now, let's get right into it!
First and foremost, the country you will all be running for is becoming the President of Germany!
Instead of setting political parties for you all to choose from, I am allowing you to pick any EXISTING political party in Germany. With the obvious exclusion of any sort of fascist, Nazi party due to Bytro's terms.
Check here often for updates or anything I add during the race. Everything will run relatively the same as the last 2!
Please format your application into the race as follows:
-Forum name
-Political Party you wish to represent
-Maybe give first address on some major issues
(Note: Bolding your application will increase the chances of me spotting it through all the debating! Adding this info will make it much easier for me to sort through things so I appreciate it !)
From there, the rest is up to you guys!
Good luck! Let's get RIOOGHHT into the debates
The party primaries will end September 16th!
Note: Any use of this format, or idea is prohibited on the Call of War Forums, unless consent is given by the creator- Vex03.

k, firstly the over all election isnt based on a popular voteQuasi-duck wrote:
You know there is more than one state, and he could win in NY too, if everyone there voted for him.oceanhawk wrote:
taking yesterdays polls, Johnson could win his home state of new mexico..
if he wins New Mexico, Hillary would be stuck with 268 votes
and trump with 265..
nobody has 270 votes, so the house of representitives will vote in the president
now, trump and hillary are not very popular, and Johnson would be very bi partisan..

Here is something very funny...as in peculiar...from the 1992 Presidential Race:
| Candidate | Clinton (D) | Bush Sr. (R) | Perot (I*) |
| Popular Votes | 44,909,806 | 39,104,550 | 19,743,821 |
| Electoral Votes | 379 | 159 | 0 |
*Reform Party
In 1992 -- ironically -- out of 103,758,177 votes, Bill Clinton got only 43.28% of the total. Yet, because of how the electoral college system is set up, Ross Perot, who got 19.03% of the vote, did not earn even one single electoral vote. This is because the states are not awarded proportionately to the person(s) receiving the votes. Rather, the person receiving the most votes gets all the electoral votes for that state. Note that this is only true during the main election; primaries can operate differently.
Because Perot and Bush divided the right-wing and centrist votes of the states, Clinton wound up getting the most votes in many states where he was not a majority. Since he won those states according to the rules, he was able to garner a great majority of the electoral votes in spite of his 43.28% total. But, had the electoral votes been apportioned proportionately, as many more-modern liberals desire, then the election would have gone to the congress which was strongly conservative at the time and led by Newt Gingrich with whom the Congress would have re-elected George Bush Sr. to a second term as president.
Again, when Bush Jr. was running against Al Gore in 2000, it was thought that Bush would get the majority of popular votes while Gore would get the most electoral votes. At that time, liberals were whining about how the Republicans "better not challenge the results if Gore wins the electoral college" because that is how the system works. And then, in a complete twist, Al Gore actually won the popular vote while George Bush won the electoral college...and the liberals couldn't say a thing because they stuck their collective foot in their Democratic mouth. Though some tried to claim shenanigans in a Broward county Florida...that those votes weren't being counted accurately for Gore and that "hanging chads" were disrupting the tallies, Bush legitimately won and commanded a mandate of the people for the duration of his first term in office.
My point in all this is that we should start to pay attention to how the current election works out. Frankly, though I don't intend to vote for him, it is very possible that Donald Trump will garner a large majority of the popular vote in many states and yet lose the electoral vote because of Hillary Clinton "squeaking by" in several of the so-called "toss-up" states. And in those cases, as it usually seems, her surrogates -- working in the shadows in some of those states -- will be able to "find" many votes that will be just enough to get the majority: those states being ones which don't have voter photo ID laws or have glitchy electronic voting software or have voter roles fluffed up by animal cemetery listings being used as "mail-in" ballots, etc.
Thus, it is likely that -- via "progressive" shenanigans -- Hillary Clinton will wind up winning the election. And, if that does happen, given the kind of supporters that have come out of the woodwork for Trump, it is very possible that there could be mass riots in this nation before it is all said and done -- riots by Trump supporters, that is.
It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. Trump and Hillary, have the highest unapproval rating, of any candidates

If you think about it, we are all disgusting humans. Because of sin, we are all blotted and impure. We can not stand before God and say "I am better than others because I have not sinned." No, we are all sinners. If you have ever lied, stolen, cheated, envied something that wasn't yours, committed fornication or adultery, and on and on...even just one of these, then you are guilty of sin; and there's a whole lot more rules of dos and don'ts that I'm not going to bother mentioning here. So, if you are have sinned, then you are a sinner.
Guess what? If you are a sinner, you can't stand before God and justify yourself. Trump can't. Clinton can't. I can't. Your friends can't. Your family can't. You can't. Because no one is "good enough" to justify themselves. We are all guilty. So what if Trump is a disgusting human? Because he's no worse than you or I. And because you can't justify yourself, there's no amount of good actions that can outweigh the bad ones.
In the eyes of God, if you are guilty of even just one sin, you are guilty of all of them. Because sin is rebellion against God. And you can't be just a little rebellious. You either are rebellious or you are not. And all of humanity is rebellious.
That's why God sent his Son...the only person ever to be born and not sin. Jesus was the only person EVER to be truly sinless. And because of that, He was able to be a worthy substitute for our punishment. So He died on a cross to be a sacrificial substitute for Donald Trump...if only he'd accept Him (I'm not sure that Trump has). And the same is true for all people.
And you know what? I accepted Him. Because I know I can't justify myself. I'm guilty of sin. I'm just as bad as anyone. But I've got a sin-covering, by the blood of Jesus. So I can stand in front of God one day and say -- truly -- that I am justified by Christ...made pure not by my actions but by His. And because of this, I know that I will inherit eternal life.
And you know what else? Anyone can put their faith in Jesus Christ and accept that blood-covering to wash away our sin-guilt.
Anyone can....
....even you.
