As promised I joined a HWW as Mongolia
I started out building my army and building alliances with other nations near me. Mongolia has no navy or Air Force making it difficult to support offensives. I stated researching medium tanks and lvl 2 infantry to make my chances of success much higher. Halfway through I began my journey to become a superpower by invading tanna Tuva. That’s were I leave off

You’re wrong - China isn’t playable against Japan. It’s similar to France against Germany - you need about 4-5 days to prepare.Carking the 6th wrote:

No, I’ve seen it before, on both sides. China can defeat Japan on day 1. You just have to be smart. Level 2 Pan Asian infantry vs level 2 pan Asian militia in your homeland and forests defending is very strong.SamPGS_17 wrote:

Not really. If both sides play well, japan just wins. He can take a day to mobilise his forces and then take over - China doesn’t have enough time.Carking the 6th wrote:

Although if you like I’ll test it out - not sure how though, as I don’t expect many China players to be experience or active in open HWW games.
China actually has an advantage in that regard. China has more resources, and can spam plenty of militia. If Japan attacks in day 1 or two I’d argue they would lose to an equal player! Their land army is surprisingly weak, and China can outplay them in the defensive. And in the long term China’s resource output will eclipse Japan and put them at a disadvantage. Quite suprising.

Play as China in HWW; I bet you could do it easily.
My point is that of course i could do it easily - I’m me! I would prefer to prepare it beforehand with an actual experienced player around my level - that would actually test this theory out. Open games have too many people who quit - you know i advocate for them costing gold for this reason.Carking the 6th wrote:
