Are there any restrictions? Fictional, timescales etc.

I think it is time we held a little competition on our fine forums.
Here it is: The most beautiful aircraft. What is it?
Restrictions: If it has wings, flies and has an engine, you can stick it in as a competitor. This competition includes helicopters and UAV's along with normal planes.
I myself would have to go for the Fairchild Republic A-10 Warthog.

Nope, none. You can have an Albatross to a Hurricane to a Fighting Falcon to an Osprey. If it has wings, flies and has an engine, you can stick it. This competition includes helicopters and UAV's along with normal planes.
Gotta be the AVRO Vulcan.

I've never liked the delta wing design.
I can't decide lol, after playing Air Conflicts Vietnam on X360, F4 Phantoms and F 104 Starfighters struck me as quite attractive, but also already liked the look of the P-40 Warhawk and the British Spitfire and even more I can't recall atm... I can't choose a favorite lol. There are far too many fine looking aircraft!!!
Yes, WWII and the wars after made the best aircraft ever. Although the Starfighter is pretty, it is an awful aircraft, very dangerous.
F-22 Raptor

I prefer the F-18 myself. A-10 is still better than both in my view.
Has to be the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle:
The F-15 looks a lot like the MiG-29.
We all know and love it: The Supermarine Spitfire Mk XVI.

It looks nice, but I think the tail isn't particularly pretty.
To that I say indeed it was, they called it a Widow maker apparently.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

And to that I say, Someone must have copied the other's design. :3
Probably the Ruskies. They stole the Brits jet engine for the MiG-15, probably stole the F-15 design too. All I know is that the MiG-29 annoyed the Americans since it topped their best planes. Also, the 15 came before the 29.Iron Guard24 wrote:

Agreed, Warthog because it's beautiful...and demolishes Russian tanks.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

That iconic beast of a machine, the B-17.
Although the silverplate B29 was also quite pretty.
I like the B-17 but the B-29 looks like a big cylinder with wings. There really is nothing pretty about the B-29.
I think if they replaced the B-29 Cockpit with the B-17's, the dimensions would look great
Yes, it would look a lot better. I prefer the B-24 and B-25 myself though over the B-17 and B-29.
The prettiest WW2 plane without doubt is the P-38 Lightning. Beautiful and deadly.
