Ah yes, I think the Japanese called the P-38 the 'two planes, one pilot'(in Japanese though).
Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!
I think it is time we held a little competition on our fine forums.
Here it is: The most beautiful aircraft. What is it?
Restrictions: If it has wings, flies and has an engine, you can stick it in as a competitor. This competition includes helicopters and UAV's along with normal planes.
I myself would have to go for the Fairchild Republic A-10 Warthog.

The Germans called it the two-tailed devil.
Yup.
Another plane I'm really fond of, the De Havilland mosquito
The Mosquito was a fantastic aircraft, unless you fly it in the Pacific. The humid climate would cause the wooden airframe to fall apart in mid air while the pilot was flying it!
An issue which was fixed in '43 with a change of glue lol.
Probably the best light bomber of WWII.
Yes, and they became pretty famous.
He he, just as well.Jaws wrote:

The F-117 is my favorite.
I have to mention the Sukhoi S-37 Berkut and the SR-71 here. They are all just so beautiful and I had trouble deciding.
Wow, the F-117 is pretty beautiful. I gotta stick with the A-10 though.
Hippo, do you know about the B-2? That's the modern version of the F-117. It's pretty cool. Check it out:
Pablo, the F-117 is a fighter while the B-2 is a bomber.
Maybe you also like the Ho-229? I had to get a picture of one from a game since the remains are just the cockpit and engines really.GreatbigHippo wrote:

Ok, maybe I committed a mistake, but they look pretty much the same and they have much alike. But hey, sorry, I don't know as much of planes as you do.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

I'm more like people.Nah, it's fine. I think most people see a flying wing and label them all under fighters.
lol, I actually thought the F-117 was a bomber, like the B-2.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

Guess I was wrong about people being wrong. Funny, right?
Funny
Why do you 'like' every post, Butter Ball?
I only like the ones where people post an entry.
