Well, mate, sarcasm isn't really understood on the net, so sorry.

@Pablo, the President was vocally in favor of some legislation that increased restrictions on guns in some manner (IDK the details or if any of the legislation passed) but he has never called for a complete ban.

In America the pro guns position is strong enough that opponents of gun use try to pass laws limiting guns in a piecemeal fashion. It's roughly comparable to abortion rights in that respect, IMO.

Well i don't care if america keeps their gun laws, it means as they shoot themselves we can sit safely on the sidelines laughing while teaming with china and slowly taking over the economic world

I only hope you guys can keep the world economy afloat. The USA is not what it used to be.

Someone's gotta be able to do a better job.

China's doing a pretty swell job at the minute.

BTW, @Ellio_98, @comrade dave @xswazse12 according to Forbes, China's economy is 198% dependent on the US one.

The problem with America nowadays is it doesn't know what to do to stay as the world's biggest superpower. In my humble opinion, America should cut defense budget, and limiting troops to bases in Europe and America. And, most importantly of all, let us Europeans deal with our own problems. America had to solve Yugoslavia because we didn't have the balls to intervene. America is our leader. Whatever they do, we have to do too, but if America isn't involved, we don't get involved either. That's why America has to leave Europe to itself, let it get some battle scars of its own, and then go back and team up.

hmmm I think europe has plenty of battle scars (ww1 and ww2. And countless wars before). I think that's why we're reluctant to get involved.

We're not on about America and I know Spain was in Iraq, I never said it wasn't. You said Europe had no battle scars, I said otherwise

Well, my point is Europe has tiny battle scars compared to America. America takes on most of the weight, America does most of the stuff.

America sticks it's nose in. America starts unwanted wars.

Look at the mess in the middle east, who led the charge there? and who isn't taking migrants by the boatload?

Like I said, we are not talking about America, America can sod off. We are talking about the Battlescars Europe has been given, however large or small in recent years.
