I have been playing this game for a while and have always wondered where we all found this game in the first place? Reddit? Facebook? I think it's a pretty interesting piece of info to say as it can 1) allow Bytro to see where their users are coming from and, 2) if a bunch of players are from one place (i.e. reddit) then there could possibly be a page on that site dedicated to this game which might make this game grow even more.
I myself am from Facebook. I saw an ad that made this game look like a more complicated risk and a free hoi4 so I decided to try it out. I got a few friends to join me in the game but only one of them plays as much as me.

Nice thread (despite the generic title ).

This however, we can easily determine through other means internally. Still, it is interesting to know which places on the web you normally use for discussing your games and finding new ones.

Chrome Web store.
I searched for Risk(board game) and I found this. Been playing ever since.

Sadly, the video game version of Risk, which was licensed by Hasbro (as successor to Parker Brothers), and previously available for download, is no longer available. It was addictive.

This game advertised on another game I play called Warlight hard. Basically every ad that wasn't advertising Tshirts was advertising Call of War, so eventually I caved.
Drank some tea and is now ready to kill in Alms name.

I learned from it by playing Bytros predecessor, Supremacy1914. At some point I got kind fed up with it.
Found this, gave it a shot. At first I found it inferior, but after some more research, I quickly turned around and saw this one as a better version in almost all aspects.
- more research
- more variety of units
- more ways to be successful
- WW2 is more appealing as theatre compared to WW1
- Somewhat more complex tactical approach
The biggest 2 downsides though, are
- Its too 'easy' economically. In S1914 you HAD to trade and use the market. Here its semi-optional. I would love to see a harder economy. And I dont mean the bug/feature regarding grain on large maps (shameless plug to my own topic)
- I miss the medals/achievements
