The Wiemar Republic was Germany post WWI, with no Kaiser in sight.

I had a bad glitch in my long-term memory systems. I shall have to have a word with my primary programmer about that.

Actually, I knew that fact at some point in the past. But somewhere along the way, I guess I got the Wiemar Republic confused with the old German Empire. It was the German Empire that my ancestors were fleeing from ... but it was the Kaiser they didn't want to serve under.

So, while I may have been in error on that one fact, the essence of what I said was still true.

You said that it was an empirical nation that went to war, how is that at all true about the Weimar Republic? They had an army of 100,000 men with no tanks or air force and a tiny navy.....

And the one fact I was in error of was only the name of the nation, not the government. I knew all about the fall of the German government at the end of the Great War.

And I know also how the new government was manipulated by Hitler and his compatriots. His biggest enemies were not the Jews. His biggest enemies were the communists. He had them unempowered, imprisoned, banashed, and even killed. Later, he needed someone else to pick on, so he chose the Jews since he was such a vile racist. That rallied his fanatical followers to join him in "cleansing" the fatherland.

Had he viewed Germany as a motherland instead, Hitler might not have been so mean to everybody.

If only little Adolf had been a momma's boy. History would have turned out much differently.

@Diabolical, you do realize there's a difference between socialist an national socialist, right? National socialist have both leftist and far right ideas.

they are meant to all be equal.. but my point is, nobody there eats, and kim jun un whatever, eats just better than the homless people.

So, uh, how many private companies have led the fight against homelessness then?

just may I remind you, that a lot of private companies, also help homeless people, usually small restaurants and bakeries, they bake everything fresh every morning, and hence give out the food not sold, at the end of the business day. Its done a lot here in Dublin.

So you think the government always makes the right choice...
