I've got some suggestion to postpone this election because of the current inactivity of the forums. Do you guys think that this should be postponed to the next year when activity comes back?
Edit: The poll means to say 2025 and not 2024.

I donβt think many of us have. That requirement should be lowered.
Alright, I will decrease it to 12 months.
And, it looks like, the election will not happen this year, but rather the next year.
No, I think it should be 3 months
I joined in September last year, so I've only been on for 10 months as of nowJoe Bartolozzi wrote:

Tragic
Don't worry, this thing will only happen in 2025, you will full fill the 12 month criteria by then.Talvisota wrote:

Ill become active agian if this thing gains traction soon.
Honestly I think delaying events because of inactivity is going to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Delay it only if the turnout on this thread turns out to be really low.
I've also just realised that this thread is older than I thought, and am not sure if this strengthens or undermines my point. Probably the latter.
Well, the turnout is somewhat okay (considering the current state of the forums), and it looks like most people want this to take place in this year itself without any delay.Lady Aragosta wrote:

That is why, this shouldn't be delayed now.
Better hope this place comes back to life by then
I doubt it
The concept of independent elections is of paramount importance in ensuring a fair and democratic society. The notion entails the conduct of elections free from any external influence or interference, thereby safeguarding the integrity and credibility of the electoral process. Independent elections serve as a cornerstone for upholding the principles of transparency, accountability, and equal representation. By guaranteeing the autonomy of electoral bodies, impartiality in the administration of elections is assured. This fosters public trust and confidence in the electoral system, enabling citizens to exercise their democratic rights freely. The pursuit of independent elections is a fundamental tenet in the pursuit of a just and equitable society.
I think I should I enter this race.Should I become president I promise and guarantee that on this forum it will be made official that pineapple does go on pizza and toasted bacon and banana sandwiches are the pips.
@Geden I need your influence here please, this must be in your next news release...
BTW JUST AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Candidate registration has started.
One needs to be a member of forums for at least 9 months to register. (This has been brought down from 12 months to boost participation)
Should I register you as a running candidate?Vanrendo wrote:
