Presidential race pt.4: Fixtures

FORUM PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS 2024

Hello everyone! We're only 3 months from holding the presidential elections of the forums. So, this is why I'm releasing the fixtures and other important information for this election.

CANDIDATE REGISTRATION

Candidate registration begins on 17th of July and ends on 2nd of August. Candidates can feel free to register themselves for contesting in this elections during this time frame.
The deadline for registration can be increased.
Once the registration ends, one would not be able to register.

REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTERING AS A CANDIDATE

You should be a member of the forums for at least 9 months (As of 4th July 2024).
You should not have a past record of being a troll (Or any bad activity).
You should be an active member who at least logins once in a week.

RULES FOR CANDIDATES AND COALITIONS

You will have to accept the mandate of the election without causing a revolt, if you try to ignite a revolt, then you will be banned from participating again.
Do not force people to vote for you, if found guilty of doing so, then you will face a ban.
Be respectful, don't insult other candidates.
A coalition can comprise of any numbers of candidates but candidates won't be eligible to vote for themselves.
You can register your coalition till the polling starts, after that, you can't leave or change your coalition partners.

CAMPAIGNING

Candidates can start campaigning from 20th August and the final day of campaigning will be 30th September.
A separate thread for campaigning will be made by 20th of August. Candidates can campaign there itself and lay down their policies and plans for the future of the forums.
Candidates can campaign on people's walls and on other popular threads (Like the OBCR), the official thread for campaigning, would be the one made by me.
Once again, don't be a menace and avoid spamming.
Derogatory way of campaigning would be punished.

POLLING/VOTING

[size=10]Polling will start on 2nd October and will end on 7th October. [/size]
[size=10]A separate thread will be created where the polling will occur. We won't use any sites for voting (To avoid rigging)[/size]
[size=10]Format for voting would be issued soon. [/size]

RULES:

Your first vote is your final vote, once you have voted, your vote CAN'T be changed under any circumstances.
Do not delete or edit the post through which you voted, if done so, then your vote won't be counted and would be declared illegitimate. (Candidates are expected to encourage their voters to comply by these rules)
You need to be a member of the forums for at least 3 months to vote (As of 30th September).
You should not have a record of being a troll.
Once the voting period ends, you can't vote.

I'll add more details and make a post regarding all the rules.

I've just pinged some people so that this thread gets some attention in the currently dead forums. Perhaps, the elections can bring some life back into the forums.

On so Claudio is not and wasn’t the president, he was pretty quickly overthrown. That being said I will wait to see who runs…

Go back to your hole. Keep believing that. For context: Carking is the leader of the revolution against the Claudio. We are democratic here.

Yes the forum is actually meant for the game but since there is an Off Topic section it will be used to go off from the game and be used for things that has nothing to do with the game.There won't always be game issues so to have off topic discussions will be good.
General discussions section is for general issues regarding the game.

I won't run for President myself. I'm a retired member pretty much...

But if I were elected, I would limit Off Topic articles to max 1000 characters (to prevent the thing I just quoted).

You might say "but sir, Vanrendo is running for President, he has to elaborate with a longer text to explain his policy" no I don't agree. If he's printing this much paper now, imagine how much bureaucracy he will create in 4 years.

As President, I would change Forum Rules to "Anyone who behaves in any way similar to @Comrade genz will be banned." This is a simple rule that covers all the relevant offences and everyone understands it, without the need for long, detailed chat rules. I would minimize bureaucracy in this manner in the Chat too.

I would say the main program to attract voters is to prevent the election of Claudio&Vanrendo who are creating bureaucracy and spreading misinformation about bacon sandwich.

If you have above 10k manpower, you're not investing properly. A good player never has many resources.
Larger armies destroy enemies faster without taking damage from them.
Build only: 1 military building in each city, airstrips, and recruiting stations to boost manpower.
Minimize research, 2 unit types early, 6 types in late game. Upgrade old units, but: artillery lv1 to lv2 is a waste, only lv1 to lv4 is worth it.

The bacon sandwich is true though. Talvisota hasn't denied it. He ate a bacon sandwich in a very disgusting way. We didnt create any complicated messages. It's simple....

Talvisota is behaving like a long-oppressed minority though. Turning friendly and laughing to ease the topic of his own inferiority and suffering (when you put him down). You seem to be marginalizing him, maybe he just has different preferred sandwich-eating manners. You can't just mock it as "very disgusting" when it's his preferred way.

But no, don't describe how exactly he did it please. We can't just leak such things to the public. It's criminally relevant to investigate what kind of oppression is happening here.
