Me too. But I'm sad not only for France. I'm also sad for all of Europe, because the cowards up at the top aren't doing anything to protect us.

But it is also because the people at the top complain when the government intercepts communications and does cyberespionage. We need to let the government do their jobs.
And I hope all the responsible for not only this attack, but for all the attacks that have shaken France in the past few Months are brought to justice

The people responsible for this attack are all of those who protest against governments intercepting comms and doing cyberwarfare.oceanhawk wrote:

It's true. Let spies spy on terrorists and thwart their ops, for God's sake!oceanhawk wrote:

It is a pity.
"I came, I saw, I conquered" Written in a report to Rome 47 B.C., after conquering Pharnaces at Zela in Asia Minor in just five days; as quoted in Life of Caesar by Plutarch; reported to have been inscribed on one of the decorated wagons in the Pontic triumph, in Lives of the Twelve Caesars, Julius, by Suetonius.
"Alea iacta est" Gaius Julius Caesar.
So you think that monitoring what this guy was watching on netflix and had for dinner was gonna prevent a guy driving a truck through a crowd?Pablo22510 wrote:

You do know that 2 of his friends were being watched by the French police? And that if they would have had the power to intercept their phone lines, they might have gotten to the terrorist.oceanhawk wrote:

TBH mass surveillance isnt the answer,

Yeah? Then explain how the USA, pretty much the only enemy of radical Islam that uses mass surveillance, has had no Islamic terrorist attacks in the last couple of years.oceanhawk wrote:

Madagascar didn't had Islamic terrorist attacks.Pablo22510 wrote:

Little harder for the "Islamic Extremests" to get from the Middle East to N.America, wouldnt you say? A lot easier to get to Europe...
Also, there have been mass shootings in America as well...
I wouldnt want my government spying on me to stop ISIS, Id rather see our armed forces deployed...

True, we pay A LOT for army to not use it? No, thank you.oceanhawk wrote:

Hahahahahaha, and while your armed forces deploy, more and more people turn radical (which is why the Iraq '03 invasion was bad), and as the spy services are not doing anything, you get more and more attacks, public opinion turns against the troops being there and they're pulled out.oceanhawk wrote:

That's why the biggest terrorist attack in history was in the US.oceanhawk wrote:

Lol, I was going to say this. What if we go all Roman and this participate in some decimation all across the Middle East?Pablo22510 wrote:
