Me too. But I'm sad not only for France. I'm also sad for all of Europe, because the cowards up at the top aren't doing anything to protect us.

The past is a foreign country.

I couldnt have said it any better.

But it is also because the people at the top complain when the government intercepts communications and does cyberespionage. We need to let the government do their jobs.

The past is a foreign country.

And I hope all the responsible for not only this attack, but for all the attacks that have shaken France in the past few Months are brought to justice

The people responsible for this attack are all of those who protest against governments intercepting comms and doing cyberwarfare.

It's true. Let spies spy on terrorists and thwart their ops, for God's sake!
The past is a foreign country.

It is a pity.

So you think that monitoring what this guy was watching on netflix and had for dinner was gonna prevent a guy driving a truck through a crowd?

There is a saying..

You do know that 2 of his friends were being watched by the French police? And that if they would have had the power to intercept their phone lines, they might have gotten to the terrorist.

I heard he had had run-ins with the police before too or something.

Yeah? Then explain how the USA, pretty much the only enemy of radical Islam that uses mass surveillance, has had no Islamic terrorist attacks in the last couple of years.

Madagascar didn't had Islamic terrorist attacks.

Here, let me show you a map of the world

Little harder for the "Islamic Extremests" to get from the Middle East to N.America, wouldnt you say? A lot easier to get to Europe...

Also, there have been mass shootings in America as well...

I wouldnt want my government spying on me to stop ISIS, Id rather see our armed forces deployed...

True, we pay A LOT for army to not use it? No, thank you.

Hahahahahaha, and while your armed forces deploy, more and more people turn radical (which is why the Iraq '03 invasion was bad), and as the spy services are not doing anything, you get more and more attacks, public opinion turns against the troops being there and they're pulled out.

That's why the biggest terrorist attack in history was in the US.

Lol, I was going to say this. What if we go all Roman and this participate in some decimation all across the Middle East?
