Saving yourself or saving your allies

Hey if you are playing a game and you have teams( or alliances). If a player that is attacking your land and you trying to conquer(or defend) your land meanwhile you see that your team is overrun buy another team. Which will you choose help your land or help your allies?

You're going to lose anyway, but your land is a priority.

The past is a foreign country.

Once they start killing your core it's already over so you have to defend that with everything and your allies will have to do the same. You dying to save them does what exactly for the team?

Your land is a priority, but you can search allies.

Depends on where i can get more profit if defending myself or defending my allied. If i have a chance to make my ally survive even if i lose in that round, i'd help my ally.
