As most of us know the Soviet union ceased to exist in 1991, fairly peacefully. What if, however the reds felt like invading us capitalist pigs and starting ww3? I wanted to know if anyone would like to see a ww3 version of this game with all the features and cool stuff.

We can focus on areas of actual conflict so there could be a Israeli-arab based map, a Asian map focusing on the Korean war and Vietnam, obviously Europe and almost certainly a world map or one that contains Europe and North America. We would have to make Nuclear weapons much more expensive to produce and research to counterbalance the fact nukes could cross continents.
Korea war would be funny but this is call of war 1942
this would be a new a game or a special mode
again this is a good idea but I think for Devs they need more info about how,when,what,who,why
Will it run with current ideas eg level 2 tank Sherman or level 2 Pershing ?
A new game is best. The main conflicts should be Korea, 'Nam and then the ME with a fictional 'what if' world wide match.
Agreed, we should pretty much retain the UI and tech tree but update it with more appropriate upgrades to fit the timespan.

Teams.
South Korea and U.S.A Using Japan's country as it's land because of the presence after the war the US put in Japan.
North Korea and the Southern part of China.
What about 'Nam? Would we have Laos and Cambodia too?
Again.
North Vietnam and China
South Vietnam and US using South Korea as it's land.
Laos and Cambodia could be AI nations with only a bit of each country being visible.

Another possible map is Red Army Afghanistan, although now that I think about it, it was mainly guerrillas fighting the Soviets, so not easy to recreate,
