We all know about the Falklands war and the terrible loss of life that ensued, we also know us Brits thrashed the Argies into surrendering. What I want to know is what the public opinion on this forum is. Do you think the Falkland islands belong to the UK or Argieland.

Guys the whole point is that the British Government backs up those with a British passport to the hilt (and sometimes beyond). That is what it means to have a British passport (I have one BTW). One expects the gunboats to arrive shortly after having some sort of minor bother with an Eastern Potentate to two.

So the Falkland is British until and unless the British passport holders residing there declare otherwise. Also the sheep should have something to say about it all as I presume they vastly outnumber the British passport holders. Argentine special forces - dress up as sheep and have your say.

According to Wikipedia at least (and most sources Iβve seen in the past) βFalkland Islanders overwhelmingly prefer to remain British.β donβt think they want be part of the corrupt (and now very right wing) Argentine government anyway.
