That's sad, it really is. You shouldn't have to. Freedom of speech should be an integral part of all nations. I know that there are billions across the world living under oppressive regimes. The older they are, the more disillusioned with reality those governments become. The solution isn't to subdue or exploit the people, it's to work with them for the greater good. That's what democracy is. You want change? Go and work for it, anyone can participate in government and have a real impact. That's the beauty of it. Freedom of speech is protected here as a core principle(in the US). I can out and say anything I want about my political leaders, and they can't do anything against it. That's how we've been able to change and adapt, making sure that US citizens have the possible government year after year. If a politician isn't doing their job or is corrupt, they get removed. If a politician exploits others and is corrupt in Russia, no matter what they do, as long as they are loyal to Putin, they rise. It's dragging Russia and China into the ground.SADRA_ready wrote:

What happens in the US is nothing compared to other parts of the world, especially Iran. One scandal is all it takes to end someone's political career.
