I can understand Donk's point, but it doesn't work against someone who has ACTUALLY lived in a third world country. I mean, imma be honest, when I was younger I was so left wing it was actually stupid. I was really out here saying that the Tories are worse than Nazi Germany. Of, course, that's a complete load of BS!! Of course the UK/US (they are somewhat interchangeable in this argument) are MILES better than Nazi Germany, illustrated by the fact that I can wear a Kippah to school sometimes and am allowed to go to my "local" (it's like an hour away lol) synagogue without getting shot!
Donk, I do understand where you're coming from. If you were talking to a younger version of me, it would have been a great point to make. However, CarKing has actually lived in Jordan for a good chunk of his life and has seen terrible corruption propped up by the US, has seen war, has seen all of this and upon moving to the US comes to the conclusion that its flaws carry a whole lot of weight. I can understand your point, and it works in a lot of contexts, but I'm afraid this isn't one of them.

Actually, to be fair, I did not take into account in my last post that the UK is deporting thousands of illegal immigrants to Rwanda of all places, and that there are still operational resource mines in Burkina Faso run by London companies......
