Overall, the number of games physically released in the US was "basically flat" in 2021, coming in at 228, compared with 236 in 2020. Compared to the previous generation's peak of consoles, the number of games released physically in 2008 was 1,267, which shows how much the industry has changed.

Yeah, I also noticed it. Today the gaming industry is focused not on the quantity of the products but on the quality and it is really awesome when there are games with super graphics and very entertaining gameplay at the same time.
