VW Scandel

I know, and I'm not looking forward to it.

Diesel cars are not good. The EU pushed everyone to use Diesel because it has lower carbon emissions and it also last longer per liter than petrol and cheaper in the long run (at the time), but not alot of research was done into the emissions of diesel until recently. We now know Diesel is not better than petrol, it may put less carbon in the atmosphere but it puts a lot of fine particles into the air (basily like soot) which is rarely released by petrol and these fine particles causes a lot of breathing issues. It also puts a lot of other stuff thats not good as well, (its a long list so heres the wiki link) The EU screwed up badly by pushing this before it was properly tested.

who is to say that VW is worse then anyone else who is to say that GM and others are not doing the same just they are american companys being protected by american testing companys?

if VW is so differant why wont china allow any non trucks or HV's on its roads that are dieseal? why dose it call them all non emission meeting standards and it is simlar to EURO 6?

sounds like a cover up to me! you cant by a Jag or Audi in china that is deisel it is all petrol engines!

Yea, saturdays are off topic days for us. Back on topic, i wonder how much of an impact this will have on diesel cars
