What do you think about the two bombs atomic about Japan?

Good to the community, my name is Jack, today will bring a very interesting theme of the second world war, the theme is simple.

The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ordered by Harry Truman, President of the United States, the 6 and the 9 of August of 1945 put the end point to the second world war. After half a year of intense bombardment of more than 60 cities in the Empire of Japan, strategic attacks were unsuccessful to achieve long-awaited Asian enemy accountability and put closure to the bloody and costly war. The first and only Atomic attacks of history got Japan to capitulate on 15 August, something hitherto considered impossible. Bombs killed 140,000 people in Hiroshima and 80,000 in Nagasaki, the vast majority civilians, and many of them by the devastating effects of radiation. Since then, the attack has been one of the most controversial historical events of the history, being qualified with all sorts of positions, from the "necessary evil" to the "crime against humanity".

What do you think about the two bombs atomic about Japan?

I'd say it's both "necessary evil" and "crime against humanity"

At that time the U.S. had to use war bonds to pay for a war, which meant if the people stopped caring, the money would stop flowing. Most people agreed that the people would stop caring before they could finish invading Japan. Even if they blockaded Japan and said "give up" Japan would have never surrendered. An atomic bomb was the only way to ensure a victory. The reason why the U.S. didn't show the Japanese an atomic bomb test is because they weren't even sure if they'd work, and they only had two.

A big war with a great finish.

The US never planned on a land invasion, after fighting in the islands they learned how savage they can be and bringing that at home will surely spike the casualty number, that's why they resorted in the bombing.

Personally the bombing was not nessesary, in a realistic viewpoint the japs have no chance of victory, it's either a surrender or a decline, they should have used diplomacy to end it. The bombings was both a crime and an evil, it was ment to send a message to the soviets, not end the war that is virtually over when the Germans were defeated.

Those bombs prove one thing. After the war there is only the US and the US alone that is capable of leading this war torn world, we will surely profit.

I completely support the bombings but it was Russia entering the war that made Japan surrender.

Well I think that it was both unnesecary and nesecary.

It was a radical take down, but I think that it was because the Americans were angy with the Japs, as for what they did in Perl Harbour. And that's what you could call a big fat sweet revange. But not that many people had to die, some of them were against the war. Anyways I think that they had treated the Japs like those lab rats, lets test the bomb on Japan and if it warks we'll drop another one :) .

True, the bombings were an experiment in some way.

They should be glad they were bombed to kingdom come. They had plenty of flat, nearly empty land to re-industrialise the country upon.

I think America wanted to make Japan surrender fast before the Russians took too much land in Manchuria and make it a Communist satellite state but I read even after Japan surrendered Stalin ordered his troops to keep on advancing. I think the bombs were necessary besides the first time atomic weapons were used will be the last time they are used.

I am laughing to how funny it is. You are either funny or just think too positivly. LOL lets bomb the Japs and make them a favor of being their free demolition experts. They will have so much free flat and radioactive land. YEAH!

I know that, it was just funny how you frazed it. Well for me it seemed funny. And well that's why they now have one of the biggest industralized, most polluted and most bussy cities in the world.
