What is your biggest backfire in CoW?

So, I've been wondering about epic comebacks in Call of War - basically, looking like you're about to lose but you then pull out a uno reverse card. I've had my moments, but I wonder what the biggest comeback was for you guys.

My biggest backfire was when I lost all cities as soviet in blitzkrieg then captured the enemy. And won solo in the game.

My biggest "backfire" happened more than once.

I was being nice to a new player who started nearby, offering hints like what to build and how to defends themselves. Since I could win without their small territory, helping them wasn't a bid deal, even if it extended the game slightly. And having a small, friendly neighbor can be a convenient way to secure a border.

But then, as this harmless neighbor gets better, they want to battle. They want to expand, and they start taking more and more points, making it difficult to finish the map. Sometimes when I tell them to stop, they listen. Other times, they don't want to listen, and I have to destroy them. It doesn't feel particularly good wiping out small, friendly players, and I can't help thinking that it would have been less painful (for everyone) to be ruthless from the start and simply kill everyone without even trying to be helpful.

nothing wrong with helping and teaching. In the end the more players all around the better for all

On a rush for europe map I thought it would be a good idea to invade sweden as greater finland... nope. I was out of that round before the end of the day. That really backfired on me...

Oh deer...

I was France, I wanted to Invade Brazil, I thought he will be easy. So I parked thirteen Battleships on his coasts because most of his cities where there so if I bombarded his coastal cities he couldn't produce units and then my commandos would occupy his cities.

I had thirteen ships parked on his coasts, then he bombed them with naval bombers and his navy was bigger than mine and then he just destroyed all of my warships, he then advanced into my African colonies and reached Europe

I cried

i have helped many people in-game, when i see that they have run out of their usefulness as allies i just invade them. Most of the time they are understanding and still keep a good impression of me

My biggest backfire was probably happened during my second game. I was actually doing pretty well in game. I had tons of provinces and a sizable army. Me and my ally decided to attack South China. We thought it was going to be easy because South China basically just sat there and did nothing for the entire game. Yet, he was still active. However, when we attacked he had tactical bombers that completely annihilated my tanks. Also, even worse he had nukes. His army was much larger than our combined army. After two days of fighting, my army was reduced to 20 units. After that game I put interceptors and tactical bombers as my second priority in game.
