What's y'alls favorite country to play as?
I think my favorite country to play as is Sweden in Clash of Nations because it has a good starting position, but it's poor economy makes it a bit challenging. I also like it because I listen to Sabaton's song "CAROLUS REX" and role-play being Carolus Rex when I play Sweden

In clash of nations my favorite country is finland. It was the very first country I played as (back in 2019) and I did pretty good, finishing in 3rd place.

In CoN, it's gotta be Poland. overall trash position, but not actually that bad of a pick (atleast in my opinion).

In general, Borneo. Pan Asia is my favorite doctrine and I just really enjoy the naval part of the game. Second would be the UK for similar reasons on smaller maps.

I think on the small map egypt is best for Allies, it is in the corner, minimizing enemies, focussing expansion, good access to sea, 3 AI next to it and only 1 player. Resources are great for allies, lots of rares and goods, the only serious disadvantage may be the Suez channel/dead sea split in the country.xOrleans wrote:

The fact that it is close to Europe also means that you can start interfering with dominating powers there at will, unlike the american powers. The other more distant neighbour Turkey also holds good mountain ranges to the north as solid strongholds/points and the bosporus consolidating supremacy in the Mediterranean Sea

Very dependent on the map, but on WaW, Clash of nations type maps I enjoy Turkey, it’s just always been my go-to for some reason. I’ve won to many games as them. For pacific and Homefront I play as Texas, because Texas. As for historical maps, I like the USSR and USA, due to the crazy all encompassing being you can come at the end of the game. Going from already respected to a feared force is just very fun.
