Military failures happen to every nation, its how you learn from these mistake is what makes your Military powerful. British empire was in its early stages and its power was still very limited. But we did get our revenge on the spanish a few years later https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_Armada

Lol, Spanish ships in the Armada went down because of the weather. You did nothing to stop us.
The past is a foreign country.

But that was due to failure's in command. We didn't even have to do anything to defeat you

Bingo! You outnumbered us 10 to 1 and we still managed to sink most of your ships at Cartagena de Indias.

Yea but our ships were crap, at that time the british empire was tiny and very weak. We only started to build up power when we started looting spanish ships coming back with gold and treasure from the new world.

I'm thinking British empire as the largest. It had the greatest landmass under control, largest total population, probably greatest total military capacity (not sure, needs someone to verify that, I don't think it had greatest relative military capacity compared to other empires in their influence on their current neighbours)

The British Empire was a great empire but very unstable, all colonies of the British Empire did not have a military capability. In addition , the British Empire could not against nationalism in the colonies.

We had 6 more ships. You outnumbered us 10 to 1. Plus we were lead by the French, the surrendering bastards.

Hey, you should know better. The French only started waving their underwear in the last 100 years or so.
